Anyone playing the game in real life, if so what position?

We got 4 players from the Jacks playing for a team in Sweden atm, we got 1 Defensive End, 1 Runningback and 2 playing Safety, also got a former Linebacker who doesn't play anymore.

I played all through school and college -- but wasn't good enough for the pros. Or even CLOSE to good enough. lol

I played LB/DE in college and G/DE/LB in HS.

Now had I learned to long snap, I might have been playing on Sundays:-p

I was a great longsnapper, but I was also our best punter so I was punter instead, lol. But I also started both ways, Started RB and Slot WR on offense and depending on the opposing team I played either FS, SS, ROLB on defense. I was also the Kick returner, punt returner, Punter, and FG kicker(didnt do kickoffs, only did kickoffs on onside kicks)

Now I understand why you have a team where almost all players are yours

I played and now Coach in BCAFL/BUAFL and BAFL in Britain.

BCAFL/BUAFL = University Teams
BUAFL = Senior League

When I started in BCAFL, most of the players had never worn pads before and the only NFL shown on TV was a highlights show once a week

We had a 16 man squad my first season, so I played starting SS and FB, plus back up TE, DE, LB and CB.
Also played on Kick off and kick return.

Its a lot different now though, we have a 60 man squad, and most of them have been playing flag and junior kitted football etc.

Senior League football (BAFL) is a decent level now as well.

Check out the Coventry Cassidy Jets or London Blitz in BAFL, or Southampton Stags in BUAFL if your ever over here

Well, if I'm allowed to reminisce for a moment and think about when my body wasn't a collection of loose ligaments and creaky joints.

Played football from age 8 (prep little league) until age 29 (semipro). Was All-State in high school (Texas) and All-Conference in college (Division 3 though, so nothing huge). Played defensive tackle for the majority of my career, but also spent time at every position along the offensive line, outside linebacker, was a fair deep snapper, and spent one REALLY fun year of semipro ball playing fullback as well (being a 265 pound running back is fun, you can see defensive backs trying to figure out what to do).

Hey Mike, if you guys need a position coach, I'm available. Just get me over there .

I played 3 years in high school, but I moved out here (switzerland) for my senior year. Right now I'm playing for the Basel Gladiators as a CB, WR, and TE. I'm the backup TE because I'm the biggest reciever...but I kind of suck at blocking DEs. Depending on the game, I sometimes play CB/WR both ways, but usually just WR.

It sucks...I sat out this year because of problems with my eye, and my team dropped down to league B ().

I'm 6'3" and weigh 150 pounds, so I played WR in high school, and if I could cover worth a damn I would have been a bitching CB. As it was, I player FS, and after our MLB got injured, I played MLB instead. It was fun having them run half their plays as runs up the middle trying to take advantage of the skinny guy in the center. Every time they set it up, I would audible for a six man blitz up the middle. I'd plug the hole by using my tall ass frame as leverage long enough for the OLB's to slam the HB. I also did some KR, but usually I was the lead blocker for the KR, since I was the second fastest on the team.

Now I just play pickup games, where, since I am almost always the tallest, and half the time the heaviest guy barely passes 220 lbs, I pretty much play whatever the hell I want, sometimes power back. That's always fun.

I play in Belgium, BFL and national team (a country with 10 million habitants and maybe a thousand playing football, but it sounds cool right?)
Starting WR
I also play in the -19 (senior year, I'll be 20 in January) as a WR, CB, KR, PR and K
