Saw this in a couple other threads and thought it might be worth a try here as pro-bowl threads often fail...

Who are the MVPs for your conference?
(can't vote for players on your own team).

here's a couple nominees from the West (in no particular order)
1) Boomer Baker - QB, EZ company. Doesn't have the passing yards of some other qbs, but he has given up snaps to his backup so has had less opportunities. A 92.6 qb rating, 65.6 completion %, and 20 to 7 td-ints shows how outstanding he has done this year.
2) OJ Simpson RB - Las Vegas. 1416 yards, 5.4 ypc, and 21 tds with only 3 fumbles is pretty damn convincing. The fact that the next closest person (Sonny Bill) is 30 yards back but has 60 more carries shows how dominant he has been this year.
3) CB Smash Weas - EZ company. With 9 ints he is tied with many for the league lead, but the fact that he has returned 3 to the house and has 80 PD on the year shows how dominant he has been.

Problem is we gotta take the stats from the Gutter teams out
like really OJ doesn't get 11 tds without Concord,
no disrespect just my own thought

I don't think that it's fair you can't nominate a player from your own team. I see them perform more often than anyone else.

An example would be Dakota Jackson for us; He's among the league leaders in almost all categories for a CB, with 3 fewer games. He's the best shutdown corner than nobody has heard about.

Johnny "Slim" Pickens - CB, Milwaukee. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=100729 This guy absolutely owned us. He had 4 INTs against us, 6 pass deflections in that game. He has 9 INTs this season, 47 pass deflections.

Dan the Man - WR, Cleveland. http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=266806
Cleveland may only have 1 win, but Dan has given us fits 2 years. This year he put up 178 yards, including a 57 yard TD pass. Plus he's nice enough to show you his build to know how he's done it.

Bomb Odie - QB Naperville http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=96129
Naperville is in great shape thanks to Odie. He put up 284 yards passing on us, and has a respectable 78.9 QB rating with 20 TDs and 14 INTs.

I can't even pick someone on Crimson- they just beat the hell out of us so badly, its hard to find a single player.

Yah, "Slim" is tearing it up. He leads the Beermen in tackles currently too!

I'll put a vote in for Beast McStonewall of the Crimson Marauders http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=187019 whose opening up running holes and passing lanes for the Crimson O. Leads Eastern conference with 84 Pancakes while only averaging 47 plays a game. Impressive!

Heh, we actually take great pride in that. Last season we lead the league in rushing, but our best halfback was ranked 10th I think, our second HB was ranked 11th, and our third HB was ranked 13th.

Everyone on our team wants to do better than everyone else on our team, which really ends up setting us up decently.

That's what's funny. We are leading the Eastern conference and we are
so balanced that folks can't pick any stars off our team. Yet here's a
few small numbers.

1st in Scoring ..........498 (Neathderthals 428, no one else over 300 pts)
Points Allowed............60 (Neanderthals next at 134)
Total TDs.................55 (Neanderthals 2nd at 48, 3rd is 28)
Pancakes.................469 (Rush 2nd at 250....haha)

You have to take it into consideration, like everything. Most returners are only as good as their ST allows them to be. Most RBs are only as good as their linemen allow them to be. A QB can only do so much with poor receivers, etc.

Take a guy like my DE Mark Brooks and his 19 sacks.. about a third of his sacks were against concord and when I shared that build with a couple of my other teams, inevitably a pissy little GM came out and basically said "Well he had 6 sacks against a crappy team, and 3 against another crappy team, so he's no better than anyone else in that league." While there's truth in that, almost half his sacks have still came against offensive linemen who are 1-5 levels higher and he still gets hurries up the wazoo.

So it's just part of the deal. I could probably take any RB on any BBB #16 roster and get them 1000 yards and 10 TDs, because we have a pretty good offensive line, but not many of them are going to perform as well as Scrambled Eggs has for us, because he has an excellent build for what we do on offense. And conversely, despite how well our receiving core has done, if Gunner had EZ's WRs, his stats would probably be 10-15% better than they are now.

Maybe because people throw to him and he can pick them off

Snackman Jones has 1 pick all year and that was 1 of the very little amount of times he was thrown at because they didn't want to risk it

Is that why he has 60 tackles? because no-one ever throws to him?

my guy is the same ... stats are way down from last year as cb.... they just dont look my way anymore... and before someone throws out how many tackles i have let me say i get about two a game against the run, sometimes more... but my stats wont get any pro bowl votes ... i did give up a 25 yd pass but as far as i know no touchdowns and only a handful of first downs.. but i digress

how about owner of the year or owners nominating most active/entertaining/productive player on their squad?... the way the stats work in this game (who blew out what team and when)its kind of annoying to see someone with, say, 10 sacks win an award when 8 of them could have come against a team that only had 3 offensive lineman...

Most Cbs have a good portion of their tackles come against the run. You only have 35 tackles which is pretty good for a CB as thats only 3 a game. If at least one of those are a run, that means you're only giving up 2 passes a game (assuming you tackle the rcvr every time ) which is pretty good.

Geez - why does everyone feel the need to pimp themselves. Is it so friggen hard to recognize the accomplishments of another player? This thread shows exactly why I asked people to nominate other teams' players - otherwise everyone will just nominate themselves.
