With 6 in first step. Now, I have played all my games so far with 0 first step. and after the last game, I boosted and put all 15 into first step and put the remaining 3 in speed. I'm gonna see if first step makes any difference to help you guys decide whether first step is worth it and works as good as it sounds.

Well I only had 3 receptions and I avg about 10.5 per reception. I got off the line pretty quick, but for some reason, they had me on special teams so now I have 56 stamina....

I leveled up too, and I think all 5 should go to stamina, you guys agree?

You're doing the same thing as me!

I have a level three player I'm going all out on speed and first step with just to see what happens. I'm not as far along obviously but so far in four games I have 16 receptions. It's the d-leagues though so that means nothing.

Oh and yeah I'd add some to stamina. Once it gets to 30 though you should be all right for up to about 65-70 plays. Which is what you should get as a starter in a normal game.

Here is his build at level 7:

Strength: 9 Blocking: 10
Speed: 51.12 Tackling: 9
Agility: 15.35 Throwing: 10
Jumping: 12.99 Catching: 21.71
Stamina: 18.35 Carrying: 13
Vision: 12.99 Kicking: 8
Confidence: 13 Punting: 9

0-0-0-0-0
6-0-0-0-0

Where should I go from here I if I want to continue making him a speedster? I don't wanna veer off the speedster build and become the dreaded in between guy that has decent catching and decent speed, but rather a guy that has great speed and decent/good catching.

Well maybe some agility combined with the occasionally quick cut and route running SAs .

That would make him faster when he runs routes , not just going downfield as on your replay (good TD though) .

Maybe it's because I was keeping an eye out for it and imagining things, but I don't think so...

I think I saw First Step trigger at the LOS and at the catch.

I'm starting my own little First Step experiment if you end up retiring. I have 3 currently and will raise it 1 or 2 each level.

Well I'm not sure if I should retire him. I guess I'll get is agility and catching to 30 and stamina to 25 an then put points in speed agility and catching while training stamina and the other stuff.

I think first step helped there. My guy only has 15 or so agility so that helped him accelerate a lot faster. If you try and look through some old replays from 2 games ago (not the game before this, but before that) where I had no first step, you'll see him accelerate slowly.

Here's my First Step + Speed guy:

Streaky, but viable. Don't put him in the #1 or #2 spot.

Longest TD is a 94-yarder.
