I think the problem is that I spent reward points rather than flex points on these players

If anyone would like some backups or special teamers LMK. Most have been sitting for a while & have a ton of training points (& skill points) built up. I'll be training them up before the 1st game tomorrow. Thanks for all your help

I went to retire players & only some give back 100% of the flex points as promised. Other players say they will give back 0 flex points. Zero.

Example:

It also says retiring your free players will allow you to make more free players, but it says it will give back 160 flex points instead.

What's going on here?

Free players are free. You don’t get any flex back.

was it one of your free players?

You can still spend flex on free players if you buy Custom Equipment for them, that is almost certainly what you're seeing when it says you will get 160 flex back for retiring your free player. But yeah, after you retire a free player, you will then have that free slot open again and can create another new dot for free. Custom equipment ALWAYS costs flex, and some of the add-ons to custom equipment that don't unlock until higher levels are 100% NOT refundable at retirement (and thus are the best things of all to spend Rewards Points on instead of regular Flex Points, if you have any Rewards Points).

It's not. It's happening to nearly all my players. All of them give back either 0 flex points or a massively reduced amount of flex points. Another example, 50 flex points back when it should be 100:

(Could this be because 50 rewards points were spent on the player along with 50 flex points?)

This is true. I may have used reward points on these players rather than flex points. Thanks for the help guys.

If I get 0 flex points to retire them then I may as well keep them.

Anyone need any players day 40 & below?

If you've boosted a non free player you only get 35% of the flex points back that you have spent.

Honestly, you should retire all those players that you made that are like 30 some days old. They are out of sink with how the leagues work age wise. And if you do, you could probably finish off your rookie roster unless you're waiting on others to sign existing offers.

If I retire them, I get 0 flex points. So I'll just keep them. They've been sitting racking up skill points & training points because I was planning on retiring them. I'll be upgrading them soon if anyone wants some backups.

Most people won't need/recruit them. They are too old for Rookie leagues and too young and under leveled for the Prep leagues. There's no reason to waste flex by boosting those players regardless of the flex your going to get back, even if it's zero.

Just trying to help.

this

with the price drop, the flex refund was also reduced.

I did the math on it back in the day, don't remember the exact figures or anything, but overall it's cheaper the new way, the drop in flex costs outweighs the reduction in refund.
