Just trying to see what people are doing for simulating player builds. I remember we had a Greasemonkey script in 2014-2015 back when I last played, but I haven't seen anything around recently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like another old timer has come back to the game, welcome back!

I have VPB working in Chrome, couldn't get it to work in Firefox (likely user error)

I have the VPB installed, and it starts up fine, but it doesn't let me select an archetype. The dialog box doesn't show any options for archetypes, so I looked in the script file and found that p_boomer is what I need, but typing that in doesn't work. Probably user error, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

This should be the final/most recent version of the updated VPB that I worked on for post-collapse/redone dot process: I use it for all my dots and haven't run into any major issues with it, although I don't use the backward functionality a lot, if I mess something up I tend to just start over with it.

Hey bud, is there a guide on how to use this at all? I installed tampermonkey and this script but unsure how to use it at all lol.

I don't think I've seen a true "guide" for using the VPB, at least for a long time. To use it, pick a player that you'd like to experiment with and go to the skill points page for them (as in the "add skill points" page). There will be a button added by the script under the Skill Points section on the right side of the screen for "Start Builder". When you click on that, it'll ask if you want to use the existing build of the current player as a starting point (hit "Cancel" if you want that), or hit "OK" to reset everything and start a new dot from scratch.

All the different parts of dot building are in there, as far as buying training enhancements and/or multi-train slots, advancing through the season and getting training points and XP, and all that. It's kind of clunky but if you mess around with it enough you'll start to get the hang of it, I think.

no worries, yeah, even the official GLB website is hard enough to navigate (because it's, you know, super old), let along figuring out how to use the VPB or the one I didn't figure out forever, the Speed Script
