Every game 20+ missed tackles on wrap up setting. lvl 79 dots. Last game was 30 missed for me and 8 missed for opponent. Every game is like this. What am I missing? 105-7 beat down. Im ready to tear the team apart and start over.

I mean how many Def positions need to get a Make Tackle bonus? Even all the secondary positions?

The miss rate was like more a symptom of diving / off balance tackle attempts by guys who were engaged by a block? The 80+ pancakes I think is the much bigger problem.

Not trying to rub salt in the wound, trying to be honestly helpful here. You've got 0 strong DEs, 0 strong LBs, 1 strong CB, 0 strong FS? Doesn't take a genius OC to come with a game plan against that ...

Some suggestions:
1) I'd position your LB a bit more conservative. They're pushed up like 2-3 yards off the DL, that's pretty aggressive. Especially if the DEs are folding like a 2-7 in TX Hold Em, you don't want them so close that the OTs get to take TWO defenders out of the play easily. Make them work for it.

2) Possibly flaring the LB outwards a bit more. Head on tackle attempts are more strength vs strength, side/rear ones are more tackling vs ball carrier skills. Front 90 degree arcs vs pHBs with lower strength dots, are something you definitely want to avoid IF you can.

3) Next cycle, maybe incorporate a pair of Str DEs, to go with the pass rushers? With the right energy management or 3rdD starters, you can manipulate things a bit to get the rushers on the field *mostly* when you want them, and the run stuffers out there on early downs.

That is helpful and I appreciate your advice. The rule "Speed Kills" doesn't apply to GLB at the pro level. Disappointed.

I'm always nervous about the tone things will read with over text, so wanted to make sure it didn't sound like gloating rather than trying to help.

For this cycle - if your KR/PR is missing any of the VAs that would add to carrying or fumble protection:
- Return Man: +30% avoid fumble with a full stack,
- Special Teamer: +15% to all stats, (including strength / carrying which should help quite a bit)
- Steady Grip: +7.5% carrying with a full stack.

Those might be good swaps to make in the offseason, if you're missing any of those. The 2 fumbles in the first 9 seconds of the game probably wasn't enough to morale spiral you by itself, but I can't imagine the morale dent from that was insignificant either.

Good luck in the tourney game tomorrow.

all of them need at least 1

DL and LB need 2, except coverage need 1

this open build

strength way too low - all equipment should be in strength for the run stopper, and you only have 51 points worth of equipment - 3 AE should be 55 and 4 should be 58

between your FF%, Monster Hit SA, it looks like you are more interested in forcing fumbles, not making tackles - can only do one or the other - both typically ends with doing neither great

So in my case run blitz for LBs is not a good idea or the best case?
