I have a LB that is in his season 8 of build, level 73 280 days old.

Build guide says Day 0 boost 3
Then train each attribute over 100
Then boost 3 x

Question is why do I have to wait until Day 0?

Usually to have all 6 boosts and decide to do what you want to do with your SP. I usually boost 3 times D-8 and the rest D0 but I know what I'm doing (most of the times).

Thanks... I know the direction I am going just didn't think it mattered when I did the 1st boost

My guess would be, when you write a guide, you don't have any idea what the percentages will actually look like, because training varies so much.

Waiting will never hurt a build. So that's probably why it's written in.

On any individual dot, it might not help either though.

More than anything, what Ken said. For your final boosts, you cannot do the extra bonus boosts until day -0- anyways. Game won't let you. So, technically, you could boost from level 73 to level 76 anytime once new season starts. But those final 3 boosts from 76 to 79 don't appear until day -0- so most guides just have you wait then boost everything at one time.
By this point in a dot's build, 99.9% of people are light training to collect BT's for AEQ. Light training any skill that's above 1st cap is generally a waste of time as you don't get much training gains once a skill gets to 50 or more. So, you're likely light training those leftover helper skills... Confidence, Stamina, or some skill that's useful but not a required part of the build (example; Blocking or strength for a Speed WR to help with outside runs). Because boosting gives you ALG's, anytime you boost you reduce the training gain % for primary and secondary skills because they go up. So, while it's tiny bits we're talking (about training gains), most ignore this stuff. Me, I just hedge my bets and wait until day -0-. Never know when that .23% gain might be the difference between a skill rolling over or coming up just short.
