I've been neglecting confidence on my QB, he has 0 self esteem hunched-over basement dwelling NEET-tier confidence (12).
Should I be paying more attention to it?

Depends. Do you like winning, or do you prefer losing?

How much exactly makes him a winner? 77? Higher?

Do you have an O-line that doesn't allow sacks or hurries? Then you can get by with 50 confidence maybe. Anything else and you'd better have it in the 80's at least. IMHO.

I'm going to go with "more than 12."

I'd strongly suggest 80+ confidence. 90+ preferred.

My guy is level 6 though. So for lower level players how important is confidence compared to everything else?

First season you bother only for throwing and nothing else.

sometimes I put 10 in both QR and HOAC - there are a few QB VA's I like

but the test on confidence many seasons ago showed it didn't have the impact people thought it did

plus most people give the QB a max contract as well

If you're only Level 6 and in your first season, you should really be pouring everything into Throwing.

The only reason to worry about a balanced build at Level 6 is if you're playing in Pee Wee and are throwing your dot away at the end of the season. If you're playing in Rookie and plan to keep your dot for a while, don't worry about Confidence. Yet.

Sorry about that, I probably should've checked what level your QB was, but most people who come in here and ask "Is XX enough for Attribute for Insert Player Type Here?" are talking about end-build targets, not Rookie season.

(Also, obligatory reminder that Rookie and Pee Wee are two entirely different things. I still, even in Season 94, occasionally see someone use them interchangeably.)
