GLB looks heads and shoulders better than GLB2. Are most people over there or here?

GLB2 came along after GLB...I haven't been on GLB2 for many years, I would imagine that its basically dead.
eh... not dead but it's not growing. Had it's early days. Some people left here and went there... some played both. Eventually many came back here to stay although a handful do still play both leagues. I use to as well but I haven't been back to GLB2 for many seasons now. That's generally how it all played out for most.

Just different games.
On 2, you can just ask someone what your attributes have to be, and then put points there. There's no player building skill at all. They make their money by making team ownership the way to not be bored out of your mind. All the skill in that game comes from the Ai and game planning, due to the constant supply of new plays an updates.
This game has been on it's last leg for like 50+ seasons. So it's clearly not going anywhere. There's no updates, and everything has been figured out already by someone. The trick is that some lost tidbit of information floats back up to the surface every once in a while. Player building is still an acquired skill, and coordinating is in-flight rocket surgery.
GLB2 was designed to be more accessible... i.e easy mode. GLB1 requires a special kind of mental illness to get good at.

Funny thing is (kinda replying to TJ's post as well) I truly believe a good many player builders have simply settled in to old habits and old build guides. Never really trying to do anything extreme or crazy. I am still trying shit that I haven't done before... build ideas and doing different ways of building... looking for paths that haven't been walked before. I hold no delusions... many of my 'experiments' do not pan out in the end. But a few have and I have changed some of the way I start certain builds now and I'm ending up with much better dots than before... so I know I'm onto something. The biggest change I've seen is I use to be a 3 AEQ guy. Everytime I went for 4 it either ended up not having the 4th one finished... or it damaged the build badly (having to abandon multi-training WAY sooner and switch to light just to make it work... which screwed the build). Now I'm getting 4 AEQ WAY over 95% of the time. I think I've had maybe 2 that I had to go with only 3 but that was more because the shopping wrecked me. But I'm even figuring that out now as well. Some builds just don't shop well.
I suspect that someday I'll run out of ideas and become slowly bored but I still haven't thrown my hat into the team owner ring yet so I always have that to fall back on.

Yes. For several seasons I was pretty guilty of being one of those 'auto-builders' where I followed a guide without ever bothering to ask... why? Not that it made bad dots... in fact it did real good at dot building. I just wondered why nobody ever bothered to question it. So I did but not out here in the open. I mean, there's no reason to post a bunch of junk and watch everyone roll their eyes.
Seriously... some of my 'ideas' were pretty crap. But I not only learned little things I didn't know... but found out most guides don't cover every style of build. Classic example was my idea for an 'Extreme Punter'. One that not only could punt more than well enough for any team but, also, play on Kickoff coverage with enough speed and strength and tackling and agility to not just be the 'stupid slow punter that can't do anything but punt'. I wanted mine to be useful for more than just punting. That kind of build definitely took a much different 'approach' than any guide provided. I just wish I could've found a ST coach crazy enough to give it a go.

Just noting I fully agree with this statement.
RC is better than everyone at the current meta. Not trying new things and expecting different results is insanity. There are plenty of "forgotten truths" and successful builds after Beta that have seemingly been lost to legend at this point.
