Warrior General Games

It's been a long time and I remembered I did enjoy the game, but life got in the way. That being said, I logged in and WOW. So much to digest.

I cleaned house on a few players, checked out (and created) players on GLB 2 and a few here just to wet my bill.

That being said...where should my investment be? Is GLB still as active? It looks like the forums are humming along. I still remember most of the GLB aspects.

GLB2 seems foreign and I'm not gleaning information as well from their forums.

Anyway, just trying to figure out what to do with the thousands of flex points I had accumulated. I'd love to get back in to player creation first, and then work towards understanding the coaching aspects again, but I don't want to necessarily go back and forth.

Thoughts/advice?

First of all welcome back. Second, better to retire your players again because season is ending in a week. D40 you can create new players for the season and beyond (usually we create new players D40 until D48). Some more wise than me (Theo will jump in soon enough) will guide you and provide details.

EDIT: Check in the FAQ forum under guide section to find some info about players, teams and other stuff.

EDIT2: Most of us here don't play in GLB2, better to forget it and focus here! GLB 2 was Bort's biggest mistake.

I do plan on doing a large D40 creation...maybe go back to creating a team in the rookie league for the sake of sanity, unless I find someone willing to take a chance on me paying attention to get back up to speed.

ken gave you great advice. and yeah... i think anything this game has to offer is in glb1.

GLB 2 has it's quirks that, some of which, were wanted here but never done. I think WG thought they could improve on what they built here rather than making this better... and that did not go as planned. Instead, what you got was an amalgamated game that lacks the intensity of coaching we have here (creating AI's, game planning, and all that) as they tried to combine Casual and Regular into one over there... even though I like the dot building over there as good as, or maybe even slightly better than, here. GLB2 had a peak but that seems to have passed. Although there are some that play both games most have sub-divided into one side or the other as their 'home'. More over here than over there.

Welcome (Back!)....There are some great people on here... On and off the game.... Theres lots of really old crusty people on here too.... But enough about me !!... The game is still addictive and annoying ....dying or about to be re-incarnated....I personally am looking at Season 100.... If theres a 101 then all is good.... But if not at the very least have some fun with that flex ... you put it into the game so time to roll with it !!!!

This is gonna be fun. I'm basically in the same situation as you. Ill be trying to re learn the training and leveling and eventually the coaching.

Thats funny. Same Day. Im coming back after 60+ seasons off as well. use to be an avid play back in the day.

welcome back guys. Just in time, off season will start in few days.

Every time i try and come back, i dont log in for a few days and my dots are FAs. Then i give up and go to GLB2...where they are also FAs.

I enjoy GLB1 more than 2, but the player building aspect, imo, is much easier to get into on 2. A lot less maintenance and not having to worry about when to boost keeps me over there but the forums are so dead now I really dont play either.

I think i will try and make at least 1 dot on here, maybe 2. Unsure yet.
