Should I still target 60 stam? How high do you get confidence for them?

Thank you.

55-60 is good, if you're on a god tier stacked team then 1st cap is probably enough.

i've tried both zero-confidence (so like 22?) and 40 confidence and have to say it doesn't seem to have a per-play impact or matter over the course of a game whatsoever. but since it is such a small investment to get to 40 for Overtime Killer, many think it's worth it and I tend to agree. honestly it's close enough versus spending those points/training elsewhere that it doesn't matter, but OTK is sexier and will more likely get you signed.

Agree. While playing the part of build Nazi on my own team, I always wanted to see 40 as a minimum so ot killer was available. Great bonus for one point.

remember that the ST VA maxed out will add 15% to all your attributes as well so you don't need to go overkill on stamina, but too little helps cause him to fumble

I agree, in general, that there is little difference between 22 conf and 40, but what happens if the returner fumbles the ball? Is there then a significant difference between 22 conf and 40 or 50 or 60?

"Contracts will take care of morale, and energy is fine except possibly for blowouts where the returner is scoring tons of points, so then it doesn’t matter anyway."

Was told this by one of the better WL returner builders.

you definitely don't need 60 stam, don't even need 1st cap if all he's doing is returning, you'll really hinder the build in other places. The only time you'll see mass stamina drain is in blowouts, so does it really matter?

Confidence as well.

You could really build a very good Returner dot with 30 max in both.

Yes to low confidence being fine, and yes to stamina drain over the course or a game being next-to-nothing, but isn't stamina drain within the play important? Don't want to be rolling fakes or breaks with a half full yellow bar. For those reasons you mentioned I've gone less and less stamina over the years and even when ending competitive games with 90+ energy, stamina still can get lower within longer returns than I'd like (possibly the difference between long returns and TDs).

Not like this is really data-driven, more of a feel thing. Like it feels like higher speed requires more stamina to maintain during a play but I haven't used a stopwatch or counted pixels/frames

If it helps you at all this returner was probably my best (in terms of production) and most fun. WL ST MVP 3 season in a row (super credit goes to the ST coach and all those awesome blockin dots those great agents built!) He also did some HB duties on offense, caught a few passes, even threw a pass (and completed it too!). Here's his build;

As you can see, Stamina around 50. And there's several things I would try differently (and am doing so now). An extra piece of no fumble gear would've been nice. But 14 in 13 seasons isn't horrible (only lost 7). I'm sure there's people that could improve on the build but I damn sure had a blast with him.

i'm def a believer in one +3 agility piece
basically trying that same build except strength and vision swapped, and 70 jumping + hurdle with lower carrying

Thanks brother. I remember seeing those kinds of replays a'plenty.
