Players would try to leave and be told no and then they'd make a public post about it and it would turn into a shit show eventually ending with the player taking off all equipment and playing on relaxed.

and players would also complain about not being the starter (because back then, the more play time, the more xp). and some owners/coordinators would forget to put you on a depth chart, or set their energy settings wrong and the dot would lose out on xp and be screwed for life. ah, those were the days.

I recall my daughter in law refusing to sign a contract for her center unless I made her the highest paid dot on the team.

I swear we ran rosters of like 25 players back in the day for the XP thing.

This game was so weird in the early seasons.

It's still weird, of course, but now it's weird for different reasons.

It was still easier to recruit low levels USA than most other regions pro leagues because everyone wanted to be in USA

2012 would be closer to start was 07/08? it took a bit longer for a season to complete.
Start about 3/4 and i think it start earlier that year. 1year went 10 seasons then I took a siesta.
