SUPER BOWL SUPER BOWL SUPER BOWL

If you shout it out loud three times, Roger Goodell pops out of your mirror and hands you a cease-and-desist letter for using that copyrighted term without his express written permission.

Boy, what a football game by those two football teams. It was quite fun watching that football game. Those players sure were using their feet on the ball, weren't they?

I was pretty surprised to see an XFL commercial during the Super Bowl. I guess the NFL doesn't really feel threatened by a league whose first season was so successful, they only waited 20 years for the second season.

...

Bah, who am I kidding, I'll probably watch the XFL too, just like I watched the AAF last year. It's football in February. Who can say no to that?

As we already knew. Jimmy G isn’t that guy and P. Mahomes played like he was in his first big show. If he isn’t too much of an athlete to keep him from needing to learn to read defenses, he may end up the next GOAT. Make everyone forget all about Montana and Brady.

His first full season as the Niners QB, he went 13-3, and took them to the Super Bowl...I'd say he's "the guy"

Sheesh. Nobody gives the defenses any credit. SF's defense did a great job for 3 quarters... KC's did enough when it had to. Both QB's are Superbowl 1st timers... jitters were expected and both showed it. Why SF abandoned the run late in the 4th while they still had the lead is for the coaches to answer to... not the QB. Why the QB didn't find/hit the open receivers late in the 4th is for Jimmy G to figure out. It was an excellent Superbowl to watch and thoroughly enjoyable.

He's on a team with a great running game and good defense. That offense is designed to mitigate his deficiencies as a passer.

I agree, his coach didnt trust him to run a two minute offense right before the half which is telling and when asked to comment on his performance in the superbowl his coach said " He played alright I guess".

I’m not saying he’s elite, but he’s not as bad as you guys make him out to be. Their run game hasn’t worked every game, and neither has their defense. They had to rely on Jimmy for multiple games, specifically against the Saints. He only had like 60 less passing yards than Mahomes in the regular season with 9 less attempts. He’s gotta clean up the mistakes, and use his legs more, but I think that ACL injury is in his dome.

Like I said. First full season as a starter, made a super bowl appearance. I’ll take that any day

Worse QBs than Jimmy G have Super Bowl rings. He's no Tom Brady, but he's perfectly acceptable at QB as long as SF builds in the right team around him.

Say it with me: "Super Bowl-winning quarterback Brad Johnson."
