Welcome back! Things are less active than 8 years ago, and people will tell you the game is dead, but it's not quiiiiiiite dead yet. Still enough die-hards around to make it interesting. And it's offseason, so go make some dots!
Also, consider spending $2.50 on Flex. ANY Flex purchase of ANY amount will make you a Premium member, which unlocks an extra Free Player Slot. I'd say that's worth $2.50.
