#1 only buy them when your stadium is complete

#2 after your stadium is complete, you'll have extra cash after maxing out the salary cap. There's nothing else to spend it on

#3 a large number of teams, in the highest levels of the game, invest huge amounts of SPs and VAs team wide, specifically to attack morale. These make the starting point of those morale drain attacks higher, so your players will play better longer.

it's not going to make a difference in a blowout, but can be the difference in a close game
