Offense Adcanved AI:

If I set up Blitz Pickup Audible Options in AI = Allow QB to hold ALL (TE+HB+FB)
and
in packages, I set up for example "Play default" (=run route) for certain Offense Play,

what the result will be? Play default called in package, or blitz pickup in AI?

I'd like to think if I'd set "use basic settings" in package, then blitz pickup audible (set in AI) will let QB decide to hold certain player back - I'm I mistaken?

Not exactly sure what you're asking, but the way it works is: your AI will call a play. Before the snap, your QB will look for blitz.

You've given the QB the option to hold anyone.

Let's say your AI called this play
http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/images/plays/192.gif

Let's say there's a ROLB attacking when the LOT is already occupied with the RDE.

In this case, holding the TE would be pointless. The QB can't hold the FB because he has the primary route (in Orange). The QB could choose to hold the HB in to help, but it doesn't happen all the time.

The entire intention of the hold in to block thing is to override what the play says to do.

Is that any help?

Thanks TJ,
if this is accurate I'm a bit disappointed - but I'll live with that then.

I was just looking for a way to
A) force receiving TE/FB/HB to run route on certain plays
B) let QB decide whether to hold back TE/FB/HB on some other plays if needed.

Now if what You state is accurate (it's an override) → there's no way to accomplish that I guess.

afaik, there's no way to do that based on archetype or anything. If you're trying to do that, I'd suggest turning off QB permission, and then using the play options in the package. Use depth chart slots, custom progressions, and then route settings.

Thanks TJ,
but as said there's option (in packages) to set up Assignments for:

TE/BTE
• Use Basic Settings (!)
• Run Route
• Pass Block Left
• Pass Block Right (TE only)

RB/FB
• Use Basic Settings (!)
• Play Default
• Pass Block

Question: what is "Use Basic Settings"
I was thinking that's exactly the "allow QB to hold back..." thing, but now I'm not so sure anymore.

Questsion 2: if that's not it, what is that "Basic Settings" then....

Basic settings means the casual AI... Where all you do is get to pick % of which type of plays run.
