Weight - minimum, Speed controls drop back. Height - maximum, extra vision.

IMO, as far as better performance, neither height nor weight make any difference. It's only for starting Attributes.

I go max weight minus 1 pound (harder to tackle) and tall as possible

I think that most agree on the height (maximum) because it gets +2 points for Vision, which is the 2nd most important skill on a passing QB.

Weight, as you can see from the differing opinions, is still a debate. A lighter QB will have a little bit better mobility, but he will be easier to tackle, while the opposite is true for a heavier QB.

Would height make a difference to loft and bullet passing, less distance to throw it over the D-Line?

I've never built any QB from the mindset of him getting tackled. Does it happen, yeah. But I'd rather think positive than negative.

It should but I'm not 100% sure just how much of a difference it really makes. In common sense, a taller Qb should have an easier time throwing over the O and D lines. I think that the 'effect' of the extra height is highly debatable. I do know that when I built my CB's, Safeties, and LB's as tall as I could, it did seem to make a slight difference in the # of PD's I'd get but it wasn't a HUGE number difference.

speed controls drop back (which is the time before your QB even starts his progressions) and agility is your release (which are the milliseconds between when the QB has selected his target, and the ball being in the air)

it isn't hard to 1-cap either. I would use that as a minimum.

Personally, I usually shoot for 50+ speed and 60+ agility

the deeper the receiver routes, the less speed you need (because the WRs need time to get down field anyway)... but the more agility you need (because the blitzers will be closing fast)

Thanks T.J. I didn't realize what the agility meant to a QB.

Agility also effects passing accuracy as well but it's not a HUGE effect.
