The first soft cap is 48.33 right?

Is there a soft cap after this? If so, what is it?

I think the next one is at 60 and it costs 3 for 1.

There are more soft caps as you get higher. I know someone that has 92 speed and has to pay 5 SP to go up 1.

Yea, their speed is at 92 and the rest of his attributes are 10

use your equipment to counter act the cap a little. Change it around if you have not done so already, so that it is all on one thing, like speed, or whatever. If you havent already done this. It bypasses the cap

Yeah, good idea, I'd hold off putting custom equipment on your player until your main attribute reaches 60 if you create a new player as in effect you get 6 attributes points making a saving of 18 skill points whereas if you do it straight after you create a player then you are only saving 6 skill points.

Just wish I'd realised that the attribute points went from 2 SP to 3 at 60 before I put my custom equipment on my WR at speed 57 -> 63 and split them on my guard between strength and blocking 57->60. Otherwise I'd have held off until I'd got the attributes upto 60.

Equipment do NOT have any effect on how many SPs you have to put in a skill .

I'll use your example : Speed at 57 -> 63 , would make how big of a difference ? that's right , NONE .

Think about it .

If it had a difference I would still buy the equipment , and whenever I leveled up and wanted to add SPs I would remove the equipment , put the SPs in whatever and put equipment back on . Would make no sense if you had to do that every single time .

Edit for spelling

No, but it does make a difference in the fact that if you have 14 eq points in speed and your natural skill is only 40 in speed, that means you can get 8 more points into it for 1 SP a piece giving a total of 62. All without spending more than 1 SP per 1 point of speed up to that point.

The real question is, later in the game, will you be able to break 100 with eq boosts? or will it cap out at 100 with your eq?

it's based on your "raw" point totals. for example, set training for speed, and observe the net gain you'll get WITH equipment on. then, remove all equipment that boosts speed, and then observe the net gain you'll get WITHOUT equipment on. it's the same.

it doesn't matter WHEN you get your custom equipment, the training and skill point costs are the same, and they are based on your unassisted attribute points.

Think we are saying the same thing .

But yeah , would like to know if it's possible to break 100 , we'll probably see a WR in the near future that will get there with speed .

I've read that it caps out at 100 without equipment and 124 with equipment. But I don't know how those people know.

If you have whole numbers in your attributes, then the cutoffs are 49 before costing 2 points and 61 before costing 3 points...
