you need WR's even on a all rushing team. Otherwise the OOC penalty will effect the other positions placed there. Use ST's WRs or Power archetype Wrs instead of Possession or Speedster archetype WR's. The Speedster tree makes more sense over the Possession tree.
So yes, 300 for a WR is worth it, even if it's a all rush team. Not to mention, he said All rush QB team, not all rushing team. So the QB's are all rushing QB's.

first step and quick cut don't hurt, plus you will get 70% back on retirement. Real question is do you have anything better to do with that 300 flex?

Have never as a ST WR bought either tree

Thats what I was thinking about was 300 in flex.

Pretty sure the trees are the same regardless to archtype. I've seen ST's WRs used as blocking WR's due to blocking being one of their primary attributes.

My 2 centavos is, if you're gonna build a WR to be mostly a blocker, the Speed Arch isn't what I'd choose. I've had very good success with the Power Receiver arch and, when I go that way, Speed tree isn't even a thought. Instead, if the build is going to contribute whatsoever in the passing game at all, then Possession tree is the better tree along with building both Tall and Heavy to help not only with the blocking but to also help avoid KL's since you're most likely going to be catching passes in traffic. Concentrate on Strength and Blocking for the work as a run blocker plus Catching and Carrying for the receiving aspect.
Here's one of mine. It's not the best one I've done but it's been decent enough.

Since this seems to now be an open thread to post random Blocking WR stuff in...
If the WR will never ever be targeted as a receiver, then the ST archetype is the way to go. Forget about tree bonuses. Just get Run Block, or Lead Block, and/or Pancake and spend points there
If you want a WR that will do something besides block, then Power is the way to go.
The fact of the matter is that WRs already get a huge bonus to blocking ability hard coded into them. This means that even a small investment in blocking abilities goes a long way. Don't forget about all the VA support they can stack as well.
Full blown blocking WRs are kind of dumb to build, unless that's the only thing that the team will ever need a WR for... 90%+ running teams with a little screen passing are pretty hard to beat. It definitely takes some specialized builds and planning.
It's just really rough to ask someone to sink like $8 a season into 1 blocker.

Free players and all rush means if the QB ever passes its going to a HB or FB.
Thus the WR does not have to buy either tree.
Hopefully it is a free guy thus the reasoning that they are an expensive outside blocker but the good ones will get pancakes.
You can use the speedster for 1st step and quick cut. But I am sure the OC would rather see other better SAs being used.
