at what point do you guys typically stop 4 way training and switch to 3? or 2 or whatever

Its basically 4 way or solo. 3 or 2 way training is just for those oddball moments (maybe once in a build) when you have the tokens to do something other than basic but all you need from a multi-train is to top-off one or two attributes.

I swap to single training when I need to get BT's for my AEq.
Yeah. If you're a shopper and not a builder, then you have to do the math to see when you need to switch out. If you're a builder (of AEQ) only then the math is really simple as is figuring out when to switch.

180 days old & smart store shopping will get you 4 AEQ...but only about 50% of the time will you be able to fill 4'th AEQ to 300....moving forward I will be not shop until level 51 and even then only 2 or 3 shops max....will only enhance training for 2 stars....will light train day 170.
This will about lock in 4 AEQ at max value

generally just let it grow in the back, but still have your barber trim the ends and shave underneath. you'll need to decide early if you're going for a flat or feathered look, which is mostly determined by what you're going to do up top (spike, part, flat, whatever). or if you're going full hockey, then just let it flow and try not to touch it.

I had this issue myself until I figured out a few little tricks to help me out. #1 is only shop for 3 pieces. It is so hard to get the 4th piece shopping that I gave up trying and decided to build it instead (if possible). #2, I've posted elsewhere about the cost of chasing the perfect piece. Sure... it's awesome if you get a +3 to primary skill and a 5% bonus of your choice... but it just doesn't happen very often. So settle for other high quality pieces, especially those 5% with no skill bonus attached (my personal favorite). You'll still save a lot of BT's. The most likely piece I end up taking is +3 to any important skill with no bonus attached. I won't pass those by looking for better because you end up spending more BT's than you would save if you selected it. It costs 50 BT's to add on the +3 skill... and 75 BT's max to add on the 5% bonus or most costly SA.
Since I've changed my tactics I've only failed to get all 4 AEQ once and have failed to complete all 4 AEQ only because I failed to do the math on time to get my training right (causing me to come up short).

Probably some did. I sure wasn't one. When I first started everyone told me never shop and to wait until the end (near plateau) to build my AEQ. I tried that and got frustrated so I then waited until the end to Shop for AEQ. Eventually a much better player than I advised me to start shopping at/after level 31. From there I made many mistakes but learned along the way until now I keep a 'guide' for the AEQ shopper that I've shared here and with teams I've played for. I suspect I'm not the only one to do this but....
