How well would first step work for a scat back running screens? would it fire? I'm thinking no since the QB hits him before he comes to a dead stop..idk

If I had to guess (because I've never tired 1st step on a HB for this use) I would say it'd be pretty good at lower levels (while the HB is still pushing Speed) to help the HB get set to receive the pass sooner. However, once the HB is built up it should have plenty of skills to get it into position to receive without needing it.
