Warrior General Games

Will be interesting to see peoples opinions on the run ins, as they both look to have some interest. Will throw up my opinions on the West to get things started.


Five games left, 11 teams in it still in the West, who do you think will make it, whose going to miss out. Way I see it;

In

Austin-Comfortable and not gonna lose all 5 remaining games, probably #1 seed.
Raving-Win the next three in all likelyhood, should guarantee them home game.
Las Vegas-three gimme games to end the season, should make probably 12 wins. Most likely 4 or 5 seed.
Anchorage-soft run in for us should see us comfortably top 4. Tucson probably the most interesting matchup but never count out San Diego.

Probably In
H-Town-four tough games to end the season ignoring the Omaha gimme. Should win 2 or 3 of remaining 5.
Dallas-horrible run in could see them win only 1 of the final 5. Three wins from the run in would be an impressive marker. Should sneak in with an 11-5/10-6 record thanks to results so far.

Borderline
Phoenix-Similar run in to Dallas, four very loseable games. Need at least one big win to make playoffs comfortable, big matchup against Dallas week 14.
Tucson-Austin, Anchorage, Raving to come. Have to beat one to stand any chance after a slow start, Maulers the easiest target of the three atm but with teams starting to boost these are all going to be tough games. 9-7 record most likely result and may just grab them 8th, won't please Austin if they get the spot.
Tallahassee-Outside shot but recent results give them a chance. They beat Phoenix, they run the board on the rest of the teams in their schedule. Probably 8-8, tomorrows game with Phoenix decides their season at a guess.

Out

Fresno-loss to Tucson hurts them now, run in isn't pretty with four game losing streak waiting for them at the end of season. Will struggle to reach 8 wins despite current record.
San Diego-competitive but lost to Fresno and Tucson, need four wins from final five games to be sure. Oilers, Jacks, Maulers, Hounds says it's not gonna happen, team will likely finish <.500


Anyone else see it differently. Hows the East looking, do we have any upsets on the way, any surprise teams in the playoffs. Who do you think is most improved team, and whose fallen furthest since last season. Also, whose your pick as the darkhorse of this years playoffs.

I'd fancy maybe two or three teams in either conference to not have trouble with your run in, it isn't pretty.

As far as i'm concerned Fresno has a better shot than we do. Not sure how same records go but they beat us this year as well as last year. Starting out 1-6, i'm just happy to match our win total from all of last season. We still should've won 2 more games though. Best possible record is 9-7 for us. Remember that we've never won more than 2 straight in franchise history lol.

Nah I would agree, our run in isn't very friendly for sure. Other than Austin who I'll admit is out of our league, I hope we can be competitive with each of those teams. We could easily go 0-5 the last 5 games or rather I hope we can pull a couple of them out. Our problem, as you pointed out with Tucson, is really going to be the tie breakers. Nearly every team ahead of us has the tie breaker on us so we'll have to have the better record.

Tallahassee on the other hand has a nice run in schedule, chalk it up to playing the tougher teams early and while I believe the first tie breaker is head to head, I'd guess you're chances are as good as ours...better, if you win your next game. That'll not only give you another win, but will give you the tiebreaker over Phoenix who 'could' be the team you sneak by since they have a reasonably tough schedule as well.

I liked the predictions really, I just hated to see Fresno under the "out" group. We have a tough road but I dont' think we're necessarily out yet, we're just gonna need some help. There's a lot of games left to play and a lot of things could happen, it's just a bit early to have a real good idea which is why the predictions are fun I guess.

It's great that the majority of this conference is so competetive. From team 1 through team 11 it's any given gameday. Even Austin who has been tested early and often has 3 tough games coming up.

Phoenix is gonna have to help us out alot for us to have a chance, unfortunately.

8. Teabaggers - They sneak in after they win out with a huge win over Phenoix.

My two cents on how the East should run down...

1. Miami Canes
2. New Orleans Golden Kangaroos
3. New Hampshire Hounds
4. San Marcos Rivermen
5. Pittsburgh Soldiers (tied in record, not sure how tiebreak works.)
6. Key Largo Barracudas
7. MST Ragin' Peckerheads
8. Collinsville Pirates

You have the kicker lol.....we just got outplayed. You wouldn't think a team who averages the fewest amount of pass attempts in the league would try to pass alot on you. It was a tactic error on my part. Congrats though.

Tactics won that game. You've got a great team. Keep up the good work with them.
