I have a question regarding the depth charts. (lets see if I can explain this)

On rushing plays I notice that on some plays the hb was going as the blocking fb even though I only had the blocking fb in the depth chart. I figured it was cause the blocking was getting tired so I threw in the receiving fb as back up where I have the blocking fb at.

Ok so now the receiving fb seemed to be coming in sooner than he should so I went in and clicked on the blocking fb's plays and seen that on the goal line runs where there is three te's in the play it takes my blocking fb and puts him in one of the te spots which puts my receiving fb in as the blocking fb.

Now looking at that I just notice that the system is doing that but also on the goal line plays (it seems) that it is throwing in the receiving te's and not the blocking te's in the running plays as blockers.

I checked both the depth chart and my packages to make sure that I had the right positions set in each one and the the depth chart has both blocking te's in the bte depth chart.
Now in my packages in the both the te positions I listed bte for both the te position and the blocking te position figuring that since I have two blocking te's in my depth chart that it will fill the te and bte position in my packages with both blocking te's but it is still putting in the receiving te's

Any suggestions would be helpful, even the smartass suggestion that pk will probably list.

There is a separate depth chart for the Goal Line formation. It is below the Offensive Positions and above the Custom O Slots. Make sure you have at least 3 TEs in the TE slot of the Goal Line Specific depth chart. If you don't have 3 blocking TEs, then stick an offensive lineman in there to have 3 players in the slot., because the Goal Line formation takes all 3 TEs from the Goal Line Specific TE slot and does not use the BTE depth chart slot.

Thanks Little M, that should clear it up, I was thinking that part of the depth chart was for something else so I never bothered with it.
much appreciative

Actually, it fills the goalline formation TE positions from the goalline specific TE slot first, then pulls from the main TE depth slot.

This can also be used as a way to get a specific TE to play the TE3 position on goalline formation, by only putting two dots on GL TE slot and one on the main TE slot. The dot in the main TE slot will then always play TE3.

In other words if I want 2 specific dots at the TE and TE3 spots I would put 1 of them at the "starting" spot under goal line and another dot that I wanted at the bTE slot (or TE2) as the backup under goalline and then for my TE3 I would have whichever dot I wanted there as the starter on the regular TE depth chart position?

And if this is the case....what if in my packages I have a goal line play selected and I select TE1 from my custom slot as my TE for goaline..... would that put my TE1 at the TE slot, and then the 2 listed TE's on the goal line specific depth chart at the TE2 and TE3 spots?

In theory, yes. But it's based on energy which of the two GL TE is put on as the "starter" (right side), and which one the "backup" (left side). As far as I know, there isn't a fool proof way to get them to always play on a particular side.

When I OC'd a team that only had two bTEs, I used an OT as a GL TE, and managed to keep him on the left side often enough that it didn't hurt me much. I only ran inside or right side out, and even the times when the OT was on the right side, it was better than having a rTE in there.

As far as I know, the goalline depth chart will override all others, including in-package custom selections. But I'm not 100% sure, so it might be worth testing.

It looks like it follows the g/l depth chart, I set it up and the last couple games the players I wanted in at the time was correct. Even though I left the in package set up alone with the bte still in them. Now that I have the g/l set up it has them in those positions instead of pulling random players. I even put in a ot as the 3rd te in the g/l spot and it put him in there as a te.
