With so many teams going to running QB's with blocking WR's, it only makes sense to allow the defense to change when the offense lines up a 280 pound TE out at the WR1 position. This type of mismatch gives the offense a huge strength/blocking advantage over the defense. The current DAI does not allow for the recognition of this and you have running teams just abusing this missing part of every team's DAI..

It's difficult to get all the rQB plus bTE tag combinations to cover what little the current DAI allows.
i.e. tagged rQB plus tagged bTE to the left side of Big I, then build a custom D play to cover WR1 with a hhLB set as cover man (with move). Even then, the rQB could try passing anyway.
I am pro-anything to give more custom depth chart slots or more tagging capabilities. +1

You have to scout teams you play if you want win consistently. Have custom DAIs just for teams that like to use this strategy. Teams that do this are likely not going to change what they do.

I agree. Plus, I need to be able to tag the WR positions, so I can key on their best WR because 1 play they might be lines up on the #1 position on 1 play, and line up in the slot on another play.

First 280 te is OOP so you should never get out done by an OOP.
Second if said dot is blocking in wr1 I assume its a big I play which is a tell for rush of various kinds
RQB is nothing new and needs to game planned for like anything else
