Accepting that even wanting to use casual settings or own a casual team places my man card at great risk, I have a new team with solid builds and keep getting my ass handed to me by even not-ready-for-season teams.

Anyone have some advice on how to set them well? At this point I may as well just give the points and not play defense.

When I returned to the game last year I bought a casual rookie team at the end of a season to test ai.

You can probably figure it out that way also so keep trying. I say that because I recent got the opportunity to manage a regular pro league team offense and it adds a dimension to the game... Not just building dots

Exactly. Learn the basics and graduate to regular in the future should you enjoy it like I did.

When I beat my first all human casual rookie team with my casual team that was 90% CPU I found happines

Except Casual teams beat regular teams all the time, even WL teams. You have no clue what dimensions there are in GLB.

Is it really necessary to insult a fellow poster? I hope you are not a prick like that all the time, and if you are, perhaps you should put some thought toward not being a prick.

I think you misread something I typed.

To re-learn the game after a long break, I bought a casual rookie team last year and 90% of the dots on this team I bought were CPU players. When I figured out how to adjust casual AI to beat a rookie casual team comprised of all human players, I learned that I got some enjoyment out of working with the ai and not just working with individual dots.

To the poster above, I chose to give up ownership of my rookie casual team because my dots stopped being rookies and I did not want to spend that much money owning a team. Instead I chose to volunteer to coordinate on somebody else's team. So the happiness I got from working with AI is still there but even better now because I get to play with it for free.

I fail to see were he insulted you, or was being a "prick". He was simply stating that casual teams are capable of beating well coordinated AI teams, and that there is more to casual dotball than some glb'ers give credit. There are learning curves and tricks to both styles of coordinating, some folks enjoy one or the other, and some both.
