What SA would be more usefull on this sure tackler LB :

- wrap up tackle (8-10) or
- first step (8-10) or
- diving tackle 9 (have to pump snarl and aura to 6 to get there)

Sup Vision 8-10

Depends a lot on the DC. The way I typically use them I'd want to see a lot more STR + Wall SA. (To be able to line up shallow LOLB/ROLB custom sub and take on blk TEs at the point of attack)

As more of a conventional LB, I'd probably lean FS > DT => WT. Always seems there's a *slightly* larger portion of dive tackle attempts when someone's partially engaged by a block, but FS to try to shoot the gap on runs would be hard to pass on.

yeah to be honest we already got 2 LB playing the bTEs as run stuffers. this one is a MLB/ILB tackler. I want him to finish tackle and be a sure tackle. I went high agility so change direction shouldnt be a problem but he's not so fast so maybe first step could help

I would most likely swap out SV for FS and take up FS and DT on this dot. SV I doubt will give u much with 80 VIS. But to be sure u will get a ton of diving tackle attempts so taking it up some will certainly help

I don't know about DT with so little jumping

I'm with Sellars on this. Even with a not-so-great jumping skill, it (DT) will still fire way more and work more than SV will help him.

Yea good point. But I guess it depends on if its a flat bonus or a multiplier, Im guessing its flat which would give it some weight but I could be wrong.

I believe it's a flat bonus, Sellars. I'm willing to bet this got asked in an old Q&A (jeeze... I remember those days) before and that this was the answer given. I know that's what I've gone by (in my notes) for a very long time. I think jumping increases the radius/area of effect from where the dot stands in which the DT roll applies and then your tackling ability, strength, and bonuses to same (including the DT SA) are then applied. Willing to admit being wrong if someone can post (proof) otherwise.

Correct. Flat bonus.diving tackle increases with that arch. The speed, AGI and vision get the dot there. Jumping increases the rad as does height. STR helps wrap up as does tackle. SV gets your there early.

First step does nothing as its off the snap. Only bonus is at snap, not a turn or adjust to the ball after the snap.

Cunfusion with title....HH lb or sure tackle?

HH is closer to line as ST is a zone type.

Regardless already stated--FS does not help with anything tackle at the point of impact

First Step can fire any time you come to a stop.

Ok when do you see an ST arch stop? or HH for that matter? Off the ball only not a cut with slow AGI recover
