It merely reflects the reality of the customer base. I fear that contraction is the first step towards closure though, as necessary as the former is and as terrible as the latter would be. Esoteric Friday!

Way the update said "for Season 47 and 48." What about 49 and beyond? Is the game over after 48 season? I better start wasting flex.

I agree, I think this is a very good thing, and will make the regular season a bit more fun here for awhile.

Just shut the site down... Save us the agony of checking it every day...

This game isn't going to grow! It's not going to be promoted... This is the best game they have and they've left it to die.

GLB won't be revived... Why prolong the inevitable?

meh, even though it won't grow or be revived (both true), it will make the actual experience much nicer for those of us that are still here, which is certainly a nice gesture.

I don't think it will last long...

and you might be right. But I'm excited about it, I think it will help my own personal enjoyment here for a bit. So I think it's a good change, for what it is.

I was hoping for reduced roster size so the players are spread out over more teams honestly.

Bad idea. Players get built for teams they like. U cut down rosters it's just less guys made and mass retirement, similar to when teams gut tons of nondecline guys retire.
