I think it will be a low-scoring affair. DDL wins 14-9.

DDL 23-12.

We beat the 'Stangs by 6, lost to DDL by 12. Therefore, I say DDL wins by 18.

I posted this comment in the other DDL thread, but just want to clarify my position before the game:

Let's look at the options..

If he wins...
A) He can then say, see the DDL isn't that great, I wasn't even trying to win and we kicked their asses...
B) He can say nothing and say, see I'm the bigger man, I downplayed the game and won and I still don't care, it ain't no big thing...

If he loses...
Then he has his out, see I said upfront that I predicted the DDL to win anyhow and so obviously we never cared about the game in the first place.

So in any event, he is playing it safe so that he has an out, and I think that's just well, whatever!

I'm not afraid to at least make it into a competition and actually risk my neck and actually have something on the line, cause that's what I'm all about. So let's go kick some Mustang ass today boys!

Mustangs from what I've heard, don't care about regular season games only the playoffs. So, since they already clinched a spot practically, this game means nothing to them.

I have also made a post in the main forum about how I conclusively can show why our team would value this far less than the Mustangs. We currently hold a higher seed and have an enormous amount of more money, so that is NOT a valid excuse.

when two teams are this close in record, and seemingly will be for the remainder of the season, these types of games do matter. ALOT. Making the difference between homefield advantage for the playoffs which means big cash! With lvl 24 upgrades looming for most teams, that means a hefty payout for everyone. Cash is a needed item. So even though playoffs are a lock for both teams, there is still a reason for playing to win. This isn't the nfl, there are no injuries, no need to "rest starters" to "save them for the playoffs". its GLB, you play to win, ther isn't much else to do here, But you could be right, mustangs could only care about the playoffs once they get there, that may be. I could be wrong. It did happen once in the early 80's.

Exactly. I want to win this game, although I won't be heartbroken if we lose. Getting as much money as possible could be very valuable down the road, or not. In case it is, we might as well play for it.

Although we aren't going to be showing everything today, since it is highly likely we will be meeting them in the playoffs.

papabear Mustangs do not care about this game at all. We are not super interested in getting big cash either. It's all about winning Championships. That is are goal each and every year. I mean though seriously who is going to be in the top 4 other then Mustangs, Pushovers, DDL, and K-zoo?

I mean think about it. We are garunteeed atleast 1 playoff game at home.
