What causes this SA to fire? And does it work often? My last QB had quick read and didn't really notice it working often.

Only points in the SA effect it. General concensus is the SA is not worth the SP's.
quick read you don't really notice when it fires all the time, as it quickens your reads in general. An OC can adjust to a player with and without quick read though, so saving the SP's is maybe better.

That sucks I have look off lol.
Where you'll "see" it work, since there's no corresponding 'note' showing it working in replays, is watching the Safeties on passing plays. I haven't seen it work on LB's or CB's much... but you can sometimes see the safeties move to cover an offensive route runner then the QB throws to a different one instead. That's 'looking off'. The Safety, in theory, is watching the QB's eyes and is attempting to 'jump the route/throw'... then the QB throws to the (hopefully) open receiver.

90 degree te you will see the break. Fb outs same. Screens look at cause that's money for drop in box defenders

Let's start with Quick Read. I agree with what Wise said in that the OCs can adjust to the read time in many offenses, those offenses being being vertical passing offenses. Where Quick Read becomes valuable is in proportion to how short the routes become in commonly run offensive plays. So for many horizontal passing offenses with quick, short routes Quick Read can be not just valuable but even essential.
Look Off only affects defenders in Zone coverage. Theo mentioned he most often sees it affecting safeties because most teams use a Cover-1 or Cover-2 zone coverage most of the time (with cover-3 and cover-4 and cover-0 more rare). Typically these teams use safeties in these zone coverages so, naturally, safeties tend to play far more zone than other positions on average across the GLB universe, so it's more common to see safeties affected. But when other positions are used in zone I've seen them affected similarly.
It's also important to note that the variety of fakes that most receivers feature like catch fake, juke, head fake all work only against defenders in man coverage, so just about the only way to fake a defender in zone coverage is Look Off. If the offense is using a vertical passing approach then the ability to impact the typical safety help deep can be game-breaking. If the defender can take the man coverage and the QB can Look Off the safety help deep that leaves a good opportunity for a quick six. Even if only one of these fire, it still increases the odds dramatically by reducing the double coverage to single and gives the WR the chance to make a 1 on 1 play.
On the other hand for offenses running short, horizontal passing attacks the ability to Look Off a deep safety in zone coverage is far less relevant. Just one route deep will clear the safety anyway and leave the underneath coverage without support. DC's will sometimes try to counter by putting their safeties or other players in medium zones but that just creates weaknesses elsewhere.
So I would say that if you have a QB with Quick Read you should try to get him into a really short, horizontal passing offense. While if you have a QB with Look Off you should try to get him into a vertical passing offense.

You can change your bonus SA. I think it only costs 2 bonus tokens to do so if you haven't put any skill points in it. More people are going back to zone, so maybe Look Off would have some value, but don't invest in any bonus SA until your core build is taken care of. Before plateau, talk it over with your OC.
