Yeah... one reason I've never considered using CI is that it becomes worthless (if it wasn't already).

It is useful if you have a dot on a team playing in a pro league with a mix of different levels of teams. This often happens in regional pros where there are L68 to L79 players. I have used CI in this instance on a eHB or a QB.

I built a QB just for this, but I didn't get the fake chance AEQ high enough and I didn't use enough agility.

But you'd have to blow your VA reset at the beginning of the season just to put 15 points into Clever Instincts, and then blow your VA reset again at the end of the season just to get the points out of it when your dot hits 280 days old. Seems like a lot of trouble just to use a VA for one season.

But you'd have to blow your VA reset at the beginning of the season just to put 15 points into Clever Instincts, and then blow your VA reset again at the end of the season just to get the points out of it when your dot hits 280 days old. i experimented with this in last cycle of RLU (non-boosting league). built 6 dots on Day 1 rather than Day 40.
worked good for QBs, only so-so for WRs, HBs and KR/PR
Pump fake fired A LOT.
the planned run of the league was only 7 or 8 seasons, so wasnt worried about the post 280 days issue.
in that situation it was worthwhile, but probably doesnt apply to most dot building
