Building a speed WR, and wondering if I should take the training upgrade to the 3rd star upgrade or not. Is the 18 BTs worth it, or better served just saving it for the AEQ later

Yes. I go to three stars for all three I unlock for multi-training. Two stars appears pointless. Either go to three or stay at one/zero.

disagree....not worth the 18 BT's as your #1 attribute will not be quad training that long b-4 % falls below 20 % and switch out time

You don't switch out the first attribute on a .4 major. You should be unlocking that and multi-training it.
