It's getting close to playoff time! Here's how things look.

The number in {brackets} next to each team is their "magic number." ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_number_%28sports%29 ) Any combination of wins by that team or losses by the 9th-place team that adds up to the magic number clinches a playoff spot for that team.

Nobody's clinched any playoff spots in the East yet, but Akron is close. They already defeated #9 Tampa this year, and they play #8 Richmond next. If Akron beats Richmond, they clinch a playoff spot.

At the other end, nobody's been eliminated from playoff contention yet, not even winless Orlando. But they would have to win out, and that doesn't look likely with their next game coming against the Memphis Ghetto Dawgs. One more loss eliminates Orlando.

Nobody's clinched any playoff spots out West. Things are a little tighter up top, so San Diego needs to win 3 more games to clinch a spot.

At the other end, both Dakota and Ambridge have both been eliminated since they've both lost to Rocky Mountain and San Francisco. Oakyville is still alive, but they've also lost to Rocky Mountain and San Francisco and MUST finish ahead of them to get a playoff spot. That means winning out... a tall order with Albuquerque next on their schedule.

Sweet job. Nice to know how many more wins clinchs a spot, though I don't get it, if we only have 6 more games in the season why do teams have 11's by their names? Is that the number of wins they need or what? Not fully comprehending, though I think I'm wrong, which is probably the case.

For example, if your magic number was 11, you'd need either 6 wins for your team and 5 losses by the team you're trying to stay ahead of, or you'd need 5 wins for your team and 6 losses by the team you're trying to stay ahead of. Either way, 6 and 5 add up to 11. That's your magic number.

That's okay, that just means I need to find a better way to explain it. I'll work on that when I update it for after 11 games.
