I’m going to do something different this week, after each game I will give the predictions that the “League Projector” created by Satchmo-n-Dizzy (that seemed to be pretty accurate last week, more accurate than myself) predicts . Then I will give my prediction, I went 8-8 last week with 8 REALLY close predictions and 8 REALLY bad ones, so lets see how my track record stands up this week. I hope I don’t offend too many people.

Last week had some huge games, in the West with major playoff implications. Death Valley defeating Guadalajara, Phoenix defeating Albuquerque, Omaha defeating Sactown, and the Bombers beating the Nanananananananana’s. After these games, it’s now anyone’s game for spots 4-8, with Omaha and Austin pulling ahead of the pack. In the East, the games weren’t so intense, but we saw Chicago stay close and force OT with Pittsburgh, and the Gangstas walk all over a Midgets team trying to rebound from some early losses. Not to be lost in all these games, we had 2 first time winners, Boston and Texas Shaggy, both teams getting well deserved wins, and probably a few more in the future after the winless monkey was taken off their backs.

We’ll start in the…West; Half of the games have huge playoff implications.

West:

Gladiators (7-3) @ Ponkos (10-0): Only the Vipers have managed to even stay close to the Ponkos, who look to put this Gladiators team to the test, allowing the 3rd least points in the west, but it’s a mighty feat for them. The Ponkos lead the west in offensive yards, TDs scored, and their defense has allowed the least points on top of that.
LP Prediction:27-6 Panther Hollow.
My Prediction:40-21 Panther Hollow.

Isotopes (6-4) @ Vipers(8-2):The Vipers look to be the number 2 team in the west, separating themselves with a 41-10 win over a very tough Guadalajara team. The Isotopes come in losers of 3 of last 4, wondering where their offense has gone. This is no place to have lost your offense , Death Valley has allowed the 2nd least points.
LP Prediction:29-14 Death Valley.
My Prediction:33-21 Death Valley.

Lighting (7-3) @ Packers (7-3):Both these teams are smoking hot coming off big wins, but Omaha’s meant more. Omaha thrashed the #1 pass offense last week, as well as playing a solid Defense, forcing 4 pics and returning one to the house, they will need more of the same if they want to beat this hot Austin team, looking to solidify it’s self in the playoffs
LP Prediction:26-18 Austin.
My Prediction:42-17 Omaha.

Birds (2-8) @ Bombers (6-4): Birmingham bombs its way with its 2nd ranked pass offense in the West to an easy way here.
LP Prediction:47-8 Bombers.
My Prediction:36-12 Bombers.

Nanananas (6-4) @ Bulldogs (6-4): Two of the more surprise teams this year, both teams not making the playoffs last year but find themselves in a battle with the middle of the pack this season. Bakersfield sports the top passing offense in the West, and Sactown counters that with the top pass D in the west, though they were torched last week by a potent Omaha team. Bakersfield looking to put a bad loss to the Bombers behind them, this should be a great game.
LP Prediction:33-21 Sactown.
My Prediction:21-18 Sactown.

Scorpions (6-4) @ War Eagles (0-10): Sorry War Eagles , can’t pick you this week, Scorpions are just too much, especially after the big win over the Isotopes last week.
LP Prediction:31-3 Phoenix.
My Prediction:28-10 Phoenix.

Harvesters (2-8) @ Rampage (5-5): Rampage have a cupcake here, Harvesters just went CPU this morning.
LP Prediction:43-10 Rampage.
My Prediction:89-0 Rampage.

Twisters (1-9) @ Shaggy (1-9): We could have a good game on our hands here, if there was relegation this would be a game battling for relegation. Oklahoma hangs with a lot of good teams, so its going to be tough for Shaggy to stay close.
LP Prediction:18-6 Twisters.
My Prediction: 17-10 Twisters.

East on next post…

East:

Carnage (0-10) @ Steel Riders (10-0): Pit gets a good game to get its team going again after the unfortunate release of Bronko and co, this shouldn’t be much of a test at all still.
LP Prediction:101-3 Pittsburgh .
My Prediction:62-6 Pittsburgh.

Avengers (9-1) @ Hogeyes (8-2):Game of the week in the East. Two Powerhouse teams face eachother. If last season’s matchup is anything like this seasons we’ll have a nail biter Iowa dropped 2 TDs in the 4th for the come from behind victory. Arlington is a better team this year than last though. Can the efficient pass game of the Avengers outgun the dominating run game of the Hogeyes?
LP Prediction:19-7 Arlington.
My Prediction:13-10 Hogeyes.

Gangstas (8-2)@ Bomb Squad (8-2):Jacktown is looking to prove that the 8-8 record they ended with last season is a thing of the past, one of the more surprising teams this year looks to knock off the team that kept them from the playoffs last year. Brooklyn isn’t going to go down easy though, they sport the #1 passing attack in all of BBB 11.
LP Prediction:29-13 Bomb Squad.
My Prediction:30-21 Bomb Squad.

Hurricanes (8-2) @ Midgets (4-6): Midgets need to step up their game this one if they want to make the playoffs, what better team to do it against than a super hot Miami team. Could this be where they turn their season around, ending a tough beginning part of the season? Miami will look to really hinder the hopes of the Midgets behind their 3rd ranked rushing D in the east and 5th ranked passing D, but if they don’t, the midgets may not lose another game this year.
LP Prediction:25-16 Hurricanes.
My Prediction:25-21 Hurricanes.

Evolution (6-4) @ Hawks (2-8): Enghave looks to get back on the winning track here, against a struggling New Berlin team, allowing the the third most points in the East
LP Prediction:34-6 Evolution.
My Prediction:40-10 Evolution.

Storm (5-5) @ Bears (1-9): Boston looks for 2 in a row, it will be a hard week to start a streak with Chicago riding a moral victory of pushing Pit to its limits.
LP Prediction:45-3 Storm.
My Prediction:28-0 Storm.

Cheetahs (3-7) @ Dreams (3-7): Same Story here as with the Midgets, Cybermagination can go on a season ending winning streak and hope for a playoff push, Detroit will look to end the hopes and start a streak of their own.
LP Prediction: 20-10 Dreams.
My Prediction:27-20 Cheetahs.

Mountaineers (2-8) @ Thunderhawks (3-7): Indy’s Pass D is ranked 3rd, that could prove too much for the Mountaineers offense, that has only scored 9 TDs all season, and 3 in the air or can they capitalize on the mediocre ground D? This will be a close one.
LP Prediction:11-9 Thunderhawks.
My Prediction:14-13 Thunderhawks.

Flame away!

Awesome! I like how you give 2 projections. Oh, and for next week, see if you can copy and paste this week's in the edit post screen - that ways you won't have to format as much.

And this week is going to be intense. Man! Two primetime games between Avengers and Hogeyes and Gangstas and Bomb Squad

Thanks for the work on this. The Vipers are just hoping to stay on a roll. We had issues to iron out earlier in the season since I'm pretty much brand new to the DC position. But I think we have everything working as needed now.
