i had three teams for over 30 seasons.I decided to downsize to just one team several seasons back and did not renew the ownership of the other two teams. one had multiple championships, made it to WL etc. The other was utilized as a farm team but still had championships, impressive seasons etc.
If I wanted to reboot either of those teams I have to do so with out any the accomplishments or prestige of the previous body of work that was performed because the ownership lapsed.
Why not allow teams to go into a hibernation mode where they are not deleted, can not be purchased by some other random agent (who many times keep and bastardize the the teams good name), and can be brought back to life when the owner sees fit?
Personally this would provide me more motivation to start up a new team again as It would feel like a reboot of my previous team. Starting over with a completely new team without the records, team stats, trophys etc is not very appealing when I have already put in the work.
Additionally there are many agents who do not want to sell their teams due to their team history but keep them around for many seasons without any players on them which just bloats the leagues with cpu teams (there are many examples, but heres a fun one http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=104).
I have felt like this i something that should have happened a very long time ago.
Restrictions can be made so that its not exploited. IE team must meet a minimum criteria of seasons of play/success something of the sort. Can only hibernate 3 or 4 teams per owner etc.
Please show us you still care GLB.
