Just curious if any of the PD builds have been getting any picks at the line. Anyone?

Mine hasn't hit 79 yet but he had 2 during scrims this past season.

Kind of wishing I had worked catching into the multi-train earlier, but by the time I thought about it, it was too late to start working it. I think an INT DT build is plausible, but I don't know how much value it would provide. I think PD DT's are a pretty valuable commodity in the kind of disruption they can cause against routes with 90 degree cuts over the middle as those are best for route fakes.

I've never had it happen to me (yet) but I have seen it happen, so yeah. But if you're asking because you're thinking of putting points into "Catching" for your DT, um... don't. It's just not ever going to happen enough to make the investment worth it.

yeah, I didn't think it would, but was real curious if anyone had tried, and what kind of stats they ended up with

Honestly if I was building another PD D-lineman I would add catching.

Has a catching of 8. I think it's more about just having a giant guy who is agile and can jump. Maybe he bats the ball right into his own hands.

Deflections are much, much easier for defenders to intercept.

Only happened against teams who had shit for chemistry or were just terrible though. It generally requires a major downgrade on pass quality for it to happen.

I could see it being a fun experiment to add into the PD D-line... but at some point it starts becoming a gimmick and you have to start sacrificing too much for a couple giggles in a run heavy sim.
