Warrior General Games

I'm looking at the FAQ for this (http://goallineblitz.com/game/faq.pl?cat=League%20Survivor%20Contests#239)

I have no teams to pick in University League #3 (The drop down box is empty). I'm assuming that I can only pick *playoff* games for survivor, and that's the issue, but no where in the FAQ does it say I can't pick the other 12 games going on in the league at this point.

If that's the case, fine, but I would've picked differently had it been in the actual rules.

Posted for two reasons- #1 I'm not confident my ticket will even be looked at before the pick deadline, so this increases the odds of a response. #2 to let others know about the missing rule so they don't fall into the trap (if indeed, this is a missing rule issue).

the other 12 games arent actual games--they are scrimmages.

perhaps the rules could be spelled out more clearly, but i believe most readers understand given that rules #1 and #2 mention specifically playoff games and the reset wouldn't be necessary if non-playoff post-season scrim games counted.

is this the first time the OP has played survivor?i imagine the majority of people who play survivor started back when it was only WL and it didnt yet have a special app (it was just people posting in a forum thread each week), so they understand the rules.

No, I've never finished playing survivor. And I'm accepting now that it's a given and 'obvious', so I guess my only issue at this point is it's far from clear within the rules listed in the FAQ. It may be obvious to most, but for me I take rules very literally, and I'm a bit angry (I'll get over it) at the fact that they're not to clear there.

Probably couldn't hurt for them to clarify that in the rules, but yeah, you're the only person I've ever seen get confused on that point.

But yeah, always best for rule-writers to err on the side of clarity and completion, as far as I'm concerned. What's obvious to most isn't always obvious to all.

yeah, i think most of us understand that post season scrims are meaningless since their stats show up nowhere, but i guess newer or non hardcore agents might not know that. better to make the rules specific and end any confusion
