Right against Goaline O formation, we can only assign players to cover the one TE, so the other two TE's can't be assigned for coverages. Now I know you might ask why would we when there are no routes ran by any TE's in this formation, but I want my Power LB to stick to that TE like a good dog. If I blitz, he runs passed him letting the TE get to the flats to attack the little defenders. If I could cover him, the Power LB would mirror him and eventually initiate the block, allowing my defense to have a stronger player against that TE.

It's game planning season and the ideas are flowing, forgive me if this game is dead.

I had the discussion with Catch on this topic because you can't assign defenders to all the TEs. From his reply, I don't think he understood why a DC would want to do so, or he did understand and knew it can't be changed. But, I support your move to get it fixed/changed.

Well the Goaline Rushing QB plays are broken and are a huge advantage for any offense. The fact of having that extra lead blocker (the HB) even though he's not built to block makes that much of a difference, IMO.

This just seemed to allow me another option for trying to figure out how to shut it down.

it sounds like you having trouble with your defense.
you might want to check out getting a top lvl corner to lead your defense.
