Only happen at Christmas?

I was contemplating a big flex purchase in the next week or months but want to hold my money until there is some kind of sale or bonus on them since I will be dropping 150-200 bucks

Are there any other times they usually do sales?

Given the low number of dots in the current Rookie class, this game is gonna be in trouble when the current Rookie dots are old enough to reach Plateau, which will happen in about 8 seasons or so.

Hate to say it, but I would heavily recommend against any Flex purchases at this point, barring an unexpected renewal of Bort's interest in GLB1 and/or a resurgence of new accounts. I don't expect either to happen.

I was hoping a lot of the people who jumped to GLB2 would realize how bad it sucked and come back over here

No, Bort is to blame for killing off GLB1 by the choices he's taken. I'm simply responding to Bort's choices and the inevitable results of Bort's choices.

All you have to do is look at the low number of current Rookie dots, realize that 65-75% of them will get retired on their way up, and stop and think about what that will mean in 8 seasons when the WL and NatPro teams start retiring their Declining dots and realize there's only a handful of newly-Plateau'd dots available to replace the Declining ones. That's when the game dies.

Given that truth, it makes zero sense to buy Flex at this point. The game will be dead in about 8 seasons, which will be about a year from now.

I hate telling people that, but it's the cold truth at this point. And it kinda amazes me that I haven't had an Admin come along yet to tell me to stop interfering with their business, but, well... the admins are all paying most of their attention to GLB2 right now and are ignoring GLB1. Which is kinda the problem.

How's that for irony?

GLB2 is taking over and it is actually not as bad as I thought it would be.
