We're having a problem on both STs and defense with players not going after the tackle once they reach the ball carrier. You would normally think this problem is just because the dots are at a low level but this seemed to only be a problem for us in this game.

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2530440&pbp_id=2637507
-Why would all these players just hold up and not go for the tackle?

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2530440&pbp_id=2638971
-Almost the exact same play as the one above...

http://glb.warriorgeneral.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=2530440&pbp_id=2645094
-And again

All of these dots attempting to make a tackle in these replays have at least 49 speed and at least 49 agility. Could it be because of low vision? Are they just over-running the tackle? What might be the problem here?

I would most likely +1 the Vision idea, that's what my first thought was before I read down to the bottom of the post. Have you seen anything like these plays in the upper levels?

Not in upper lvls. AGI and VIS should fix it. Speed it top end-AGI is accelerate-VIS is angle of attack

The thing is, this doesn't seem to be happening to teams we play against even though they are the same level as us. I don't understand why the problem would only be on our end right now

Would tactics have anything to do with this happening? Perhaps tactics plus low Vision, maybe? I'm sorry Badger, I've never really seen this before, or at least I've never paid attention to it before. Vision was the first thing I thought of and since it's only happening to your team, the only other thing I can think of is player tactics.

I don't really know what tactics could effect this? Aggressiveness maybe?

Yeah tactics could. I used to see it alot in rookie-called drift-where the cover guys "back off"-ST's and in D plays. Vision with close cover. Although with even SPD/AGI they should jump the ball carrier at some point. Hmmm-There is a ST's set chart for cover I think I have it-

This may help some:

Yep, they currently do.

(I'm stealing this paragraph from a post by groganite):
SO....

Every OFFENSIVE PLAYER, STOP, and KICKER should set their defensive focus to "Run".

Now I know you're going to say... "Ummm... he's lost his mind... my offensive dot can't set defensive focus." or "Dude... I'm a defensive player... I don't block and don't have settings for it."

But see... YOU DO have those settings. You just can't see them on the regular individual tactics page. However, you can get to them from the Quick Tactics Editor link (right above the list of your dots). > http://goallineblitz.com/game/quick_tactics.pl?type=defensive&position=OL

For example... for my QB:

I go to the QTE, select QB and then click the "Defensive" tab. And Ta-Da! There they are... everything from defensive focus to coverage distance and style to pass rush style.

I need EVERY PLAYER ON OFFENSE to:

1) go the the Quick Tactics link and select your respective players position, then ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/quick_tactics.pl?type=defensive&position=OL )
2) click DEFENSE TAB and
3) set your DEFENSE FOCUS to RUN.

I need EVERY PLAYER ON DEFENSEto:

1) go the the Quick Tactics link and select your respective players position, then ( http://goallineblitz.com/game/quick_tactics.pl?type=offensive&position=SS )
2) click OFFENSIVE TAB and
3) set your BLOCKING FOCUS to RUN.

Easy as 1-2-3... please post when you have done this. Thank you!

You can also set up all your players at the same time across all teams very easily this way. It is just another good way to have them ready.

This is just a little way to gain an advantage, however slight, that is there for the taking.

These look like missed tackles not registering as such for some reason.

I don't know... these are pure guesses:

Maybe trying to force fumbles instead of wrapping up, combined with a low attribute?
Perhaps an Easy intensity?
Or buggy, something to do with Pass rush or coverage settings?

But I don't know- I'm throwing out the only things I can possibly think of that could vary between your dots and others on those plays. Truly odd.

Since it's on ST's I am at a loss. Do you know if offense/defense tactics have any influence on ST's and how dots perform? If they do, by some chance, maybe aggressiveness could affect something like this.

All are set to play Hard and all are set on wrap-up. Aggressiveness varies on all of the dots. I'm in the same boat as you...no clue what is going wrong.

I almost think they may have just taken a bad angle because of low vision. Then their agility wasn't high enough to counter the bad angles taken?

I know I had the same problem just trying to remember how I fixed it. Not missed tackles or some high end juke stuff

Ok so dots are play hard-set to cover max and say aggressiveness is 100 not -100....SPD/AGI equal and with an average build the tackle should be made.

Srry fellas I just can't remember how to fix it though I am sure it was not a major issue to correct it

Got to be AGI/VIS then with the ST's tactics I posted it should work out. Diving tackle/jumping maybe...aggghhh I dealt with this for ever and can't remember
