Is there any valid proof of value to buying upgrades to Travel method, lodging or halftime entertainment?

I never use the game specific promotions, but wanted to know if its worth the season long ones?

I typically try to do a small upgrade for a morale boost, but the season I forgot to set anything, we win the Elite #1 title, and seasons where I set it, we stumble lol.

Now, obviously I know that's not just due to promotions, but not having them didn't hurt us.

Is it worth the money?

Is it only a boost to pregame morale or does it impact mid game?

Meaning, if our players morale is always 98-100 going into games, the most we need is the number to get back to 100 and anything else is overkill?

Seems silly to blow 20 million a season on Morale, if your morale never drops and its only a bonus to start of game morale.

However, if its indeed an in game bonus, that would make more sense fiscally.

Morale bonus can take your starting morale to 115.

If a team goes full out on season-long and per game promos, it will eventually not be able to keep up financially, even with minimum player salaries and a completed stadium with max seats. Tried this on version 1.0 of my team.

I think most high level teams hold the money until they get to Pro and WL and then go full out once they are going for promotion to WL or to win WL. Like several WL teams with $250M sitting in the bank.

My team may consider the home season-long promo only, once the stadium gets maxed. Perhaps the cheapest way to get a boost in morale for half the games, plus guarantee a boost to high income fan support so I can raise prices more quickly in a weak conference. And all while still being able to remain profitable, as we level through the ranks. This is my version 2.0 plan. We'll see how that works out?!

Right, I know its not fiscally possible to go all out and pay a roster at the higher end, that's why I was wondering if it was worth it. Just haven't seen any indication of a positive effect when I pay for the mid tier travel and lodging upgrades vs when no upgrades are purchased. Doesn't seem to make a difference.

I can compare the outcomes because we have been in Elite #1 for the past 3-4 seasons at least vs a large chunk of the same opponents, and I don't see too much variance between playing Team X with the bonus, vs Team X without it.

I do the Halftime bonus to ensure fan support +X, but since we are typically 13+ wins, our fan support starts the season at near 100 100 100 so its not like that's really a factor until we get to Nat Pro and have to sustain a few losses strung together I guess.

For now, Ill keep doing the mid level upgrades just to spend some money I guess, and save the rest for Nat Pro in the future. Just didn't know if anyone else had actually had some experience where they noticed a quantifiable difference by having the bonuses, because I haven't.

so is there any evidence that proms work?

Really not sure of their point

I'm trying them for the first time this season as we've gone into Reg Pro. I'll be keeping a weather eye, but I'm not sure how I could evidence the difference other than by winning more road games and looking at morale status in the game synopsis tab. With no comparable data, this won't tell me a great deal.

Promos help a little, but just a little.

From an efficiency standpoint, you get more value for your money from promos than you do from paying higher salaries, so if you're trying to decide between promos and higher salaries, keep the salaries at minimum and spend your money on promos.

As mentioned above, it's probably best to save your money until you get to the higher levels of the game, of course: World League for sure, maybe Natty Pro if you want a slight edge.

Also as mentioned above, there's nothing else to spend your money on. Might as well spend it, right? Does you no good to just sit on it.

To raise your team's starting morale and watch any replays from the start of a game where a player has above 100 in morale and you can tell it's working.

As for the OP, you need to evaluate your league and your money. If it looks like you're getting a home game for the playoffs, spend more money there. If you're going to have an away game, spend your money there. I would not run any promos below Regional Pro at best, but probably not till Natty Pro.

That's not exactly true. Specific positions will be hit harder with morale based SAs, your QB, Power HB, or KR should have a MAX contract.

My teams have made the WL playoffs 16 times in 18 tries. The two times I didn't, one was when we forgot season promos and one was from chemistry being destroyed by forgetting to re-sign the roster. They matter.

A point worth considering.

I'd still wait until reaching the top levels of the game to even think about doing that, though.
