What does everyone think the best attribute(s) for custom equipment are for a LB? I can't decide what to put 6 points in, here's my thoughts on the attributes:

Strength - not really worth it, might help with a FF here and there and _maybe_ get you out of block (if it's not an O-lineman), but most likely not an attribute you will want to try to max out

Speed - an obvious choice here, especially for OLBs... everyone loves their high speed player

Agility - always need agility to go with speed for acceleration and changing directions, very useful for tackling elusive running backs

Vision - need to be able to see the play, but again is this an attribute worth pushing more than a couple points past 48?

The rest of the attributes, while important, aren't really something I would consider dropping a bunch of points on, especially not for custom equipment.

So, would speed and agility be the best choice here? 4:2, 3:3? Or all 6 in speed? Should strength or vision be included at all?

This is what I did, and honestly.. I'd recommend it to EVERYONE.

With 5 pieces of equipment (custom, head, hands, chest, feet) you can put some pretty hefty points into your player after level 16. Have your custom to ALL 6 into SPD, have two of your equipment pieces all in VIS to get that plus 6, and have the rest of your equipment in VIS. This way you get +6 to your CORE 3 attributes.. SPD, AGI, and VIS. It's worked out very very well with me.

OR you could do something like +6 of the custom in either of the 3 CORE attributes that you don't think you need the most in. So that way whenever level 24 comes rolling around, you'll have +8 in the other two attributes and +6 in the last one.

Just a suggestion though that seems to be working very very well for me right now.

You mean to have 2 normal equipment with +agility and 2 normal equipment with +vision right? You wrote vision twice, just checkin.

That seems like a pretty good setup, as you'll always want a speed bonus, so that can be permanent with custom equipment. Then you can switch around the vision/agility/etc as you like with normal equipment.

Yea my bad. You're right with the +agility and +vision. You can mix those three up any way really though. But yea, I personally feel like that's the best way.

Those are your three CORE stats, so I felt like that was the way to get them past the.. "2/3 points for every +1 to skills now" barrier/cap... was to do what I did with my equipment. And it's working really well so far.
