Anyone play around with these often? I'm wanting to make one with high strength/carry and use him to break tackles on weaker CB's.

Anyways my question. Does powerback SA's like Power Through, Stiff Arm, and Lower the Shoulder work well on strength WR's? I havn't really checked, but never see WR's really using SA's very often.

It depends on your definition of success. I had a world of fun building mine... but I KNEW that, by building him the way I did, he wasn't going to be a stat whore (unless you like pancakes). As to your question (about SA's), yes they work but they don't seem to work nearly as well for WR's as they do for TE's, FB's, and HB's.
Using the Power WR archetype... I built, as best described as, a receiver who, when thrown to, caught everything any Possession arch WR would... but even with those SA's you mentioned and VA's like YAC attack and such, he generally didn't get a lot of yards after the catch. Speed is still the kind for that. But, as a blocker on the outside, he was a beast against LB's, CB's, and Safeties. He also was pretty good on the return blocking stuff for ST's.
So it really depends on what you want from the build. If it's stats... you're gonna be disappointed. But if it's a solid fun build, then yeah... built right it's a lot of fun.

Good question. I know ther is a list of skill caps for certain SA's to trigger. I myself with a level 73 wr and 6 spin have never ever seen it fire. I also have %24 va on spin... never seen it trigger.

Yes all of those SA's trigger. The advancement of SP's when GLB adopted the new building with arch's basically made defenses a lot better at tackling and with the easy knowledge surrounding % AEQ almost every defender in the game is sitting on a piece of Make Tackle %. Plus VA's like Sure Tackler and DvsG are pretty common. Break tackle stuff on WR's just really isn't all that great anymore.

Hybrid power/speed WR's used to be beast because they could spin out of a tackle and then go the distance in single coverage. Making a slower power poss Arch isn't really impressive because you are building aruond a concept that might net you a couple extra yards on a few plays a season but aren't fast enough to break away or strong enough to break multiple tackle attempts.
