http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=2028783It's a worthless SA.
You're better off just pumping jumping with the points you'd use from the hurdle SA.
The only reason people see it fire a lot on their PHB is because PHB's break a lot of tackles already, and are breaking the tackles naturally with their strength and carrying rolls already. Just because you see it fire and it's in the pbp, doesn't mean that the tackle was broken because of hurdle, it only means the SA fired.
You'd think, if the SA is entirely dependent on jumping, that Elusive's with a similar or higher investment in hurdle and jumping would see a similar or higher increase in broken tackles from hurdle. But instead it's the other way around, it doesn't provide much of a boost at all to break tackles and dots who already break tackles see it fire more, because lol, those dots break more tackles already.
I mean look at Spin. You can see it actually increasing broken tackles on any dot who gets a sizable investment in spin, and agility. To the point that even some elusives with lowish strength (less than 70) can still use it and break a good bit more tackles than they would without the SA. You can actually see the SA impacting performance. Hurdle is not an SA that impacts performance in anyway, and a lot of people are blinded by the pbp too much to look at changes in performance. Statistically, I've seen none.
The dot linked above was my hurdle experiment, he was created on the day archetypes were rolled out and was built entirely to test the Hurdle SA. And IMO, that SA failed big time IMO. I saw a much larger increase in his ability to break diving tackles simply from capping jumping (which was done above 70 before I capped strength). Going from 2 Hurdle to 10 Hurdle saw no marked increase in broken tackles, the only thing I saw was hurdle appearing the pbp more, and I'd be more than willing to bet that the same thing happens to these Power Backs.
It's a complete waste of SP's.
