I asked for help, and people told me to build more dots. What does that mean?

People refer to players as "dots" since they appear as moving dots in replays. "Build more dots" = "create more players".

why would you not ask what that meant in the same thread where people said it?

Sometimes the GLB community can be a bit "off center" when trying to answer stuff. To answer your question... and make it tie into your original question... the more dots (players you create), that are on different teams, means more stuff going on on different days (not all games simulate at the same time). Otherwise, this is a game where you have periods of time where, generally, nothing is really happening. Highly suggest you spend some time in the build forums to get a better handle on things you'll have to work on later... like VA's and SA's and when to boost (and when NOT to boost)... how to spend your SP's smartly... what level gains are... ect, ect, ect. There's a TON of stuff to learn before you'll have dots that you'll really be proud of. The seasons are long... and there's plenty of "dead time" along the way. GLB isn't a game where you have stuff going on 24/7. But it sure will help teach patience.
