the images are archived on 5.25 inch floppy disks, one image per disk, so they can't be any larger.

edit: just did a google search to clarify difference between "disc" and "disk" --never realized there was a strict difference. Disc is optical media and disk is magnetic media.

wasn't bigger pics one of the selling points for GLB2? go there if this is a huge issue for you
Once things are loaded over here from GLB2, you could possibly have a 100x100/50 kb forum avatar (that's what is over there now). Can't confirm if the forum/site layout will mimic GLB2's current setup or if the forums will just share the same database.

I've been hearing this whole time that 1 and 2 are going to share forums...so this might happen soon enough.

100x100 would just mess with existing bank of avatars.
