When I try to upload my picture it sends me to my profile page. When I click the button to save my profile settings the picture doesn't go on! Do I need to verify an e-mail or something?

Your picture actually isn't showing up for me. If it still isn't showing up for you, maybe the file was too big (or too small?). Try re-sizing it in Photobucket or something if that's the case.

Well... it shows up for me! Maybe you should refresh to check? I don't know if it will work but it might.
