Should newly created players be boosted before the flip to the new season? As I understand it they get another 3 boosts next season (38) , so it is appropriate to boost them right after creating them in season 37?

thanks

Or better still, boost once. Can you reach next cap on primary? (probably not so...) Boost again. Can you reach it now? If yes, do that. If JUST short, swap out BT's for a SP (no more than 1) and cap, then boost final boost. But if 2 boosts AND one more SP can't get you to next cap, then boost and cap. (But if this is true, you messed up somewhere.)

technically you shouldnt apply any skill points at all, until after the first season, if you want to maximize training gains.

Actually, what you should be doing is intense training (1 star, train then 2 star when you can) until day 48. Then buy 1 SP and soft cap, THEN boost. This works on the dots who get the +2 in their main att at creation. courtesy of jdbolick.

Not true. I think it's best to apply SPs when you're able to cap (when it comes to the ones you're training).

day 40 to 48 create dot , name dot and choose position, pick a bonus SA.Then use the height/weight sliders to achieve the bonus to your first primary attribute (either +2 (or the next closest option if using weight slider)

put as many of the creation SP's as allowed into your first primary attribute, put rest into your second primary attribute

choose a set of EQ (more than likely to match your first primary attribute) press SUBMIT.

do not use your initial 15 SP

spend 6BT's to 1star enhance your first primary attribute

intense train your first primary attribute 3X (will get you to 12BT's)

spend those 12BT's in order to 2star enhance your first primary attribute

intense train your first primary attribute until you have 15BT's

spend those 15BT's to purchase a SP, giving you 16 total SP's

spend those16 SP's on your first primary attribute and it will reach the 1st soft cap (2:1 cost)

Boost 3X but don't spend any of the SP's

up for debate, but for simplicity's sake switch to normal training your first primary attribute

when you have enough SP's banked to get your first primary attribute to the next cap(3:1), do it. Keep training that first primary attribute until you have enough BT's saved to unlock 4 way multi-training (you only unlock 3 attributes, 4th is free)
** ** some may want to wait until they can also enhance some of the unlocked multi train attributes before begining multi train, some just start multi training and enhance as they go **

Multi train for a long time

1st full season, wait till day 45-48 to boost (whichever works best for your training/build) some may want to boost to 16 at playoffs, won't kill end build

2nd season boost from 22 to 25 to begin VA points/VXP and EQ upgrades (can do it at lvl 21.5 for same results but slightly more VXP end build)

Season 3 begin season at lvl 32. You can boost early to get to lvl 35 and increase VXP gains , or wait till whenever works best for your build training wise

Season 4 begin season at lvl42(?) VXP gains have maxxed out now (happened at lvl40) and no EQ upgrades until lvl 48. From here out you can pretty much boost whenever you feel like it. As long as you boost each season you will hit lvl79 and end with between 0 and 100XP to trade in. Seems better when dots are age 240 and lvl 68 to wait until you hit lvl69 natural and then boost to 72 , but I'm not sure exactly why.

Outside of creation season, when you boost don't really matter much except for training and VXP gains. XPgains/loss don't really effect dots much anymore, it's more about training rollovers and stuff. And ALG's , which along with training gain%'s is big reason why you wait till end of 1st full season to boost again.

All the boost guides that float around still that contain things like "wait until a certain level or you will lose XP" are inaccurate . All dots that boost every season are gonna reach lvl79 regardless of when during a season they decide to boost. You can even skip boosting your creation season and still hit lvl79 with the 6 plateau boost. Matter of fact the only lvl79's I have with dots created in the APD era that ended with more than 100xp where ones I did not boost creation season.

But yea, there is a simple creation and boost guide for you.

edited to add a few key points at creation stage
