When was this implemented? Just decided to check my settings and noticed this. How many points do you start with and what must you do to get points taken away before they drop you to a lower suspension tier? I know so many questions but I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this.
It's been this way for a long time. I think that's the amount you start with. In order to drop to a lower tier you just have to broke some rules, like trolling a lot, post pr0n, say forbidden words like motherfucker, tits, Catch22, ROIT, etc.
To lower inconsistencies among suspensions and forum or perma-bans we have implemented a new suspension point system. The system is designed to give users the chance to prove they have learned from their mistakes. If they don't, they will be removed from the forums for good. If they continue causing problems under a forum ban, they will be removed from the game.
There are three tiers of the suspension point system and all users will start out at tier one and move down as they lose points. If they break the points of the final tier they will be given no further chances and they will be removed from the forums completely. (no appeals or “4th” chances) •Major rule violations are -100 points •Mid-level rule violations are -50 points •Minor rule violations are -25 points
•Tier A users have 300 suspension points •This is the starting tier for all users. •When a user hits 0 suspension points or less they will receive an automatic 30-day forum suspension. Once they 30 days are up the user will be automatically released and then they will move onto the Tier B points, listed below. •A user can only lose suspension points when they violate the rules, listed in the sections below.
•Tier B users have 200 suspension points •When a user hits 0 suspension points or less they will receive an automatic 30-day forum suspension. Once they 30 days are up the user will be fanatically released and then they will move onto the Tier C points, listed below. •A user can only lose suspension points when they violate the rules, listed in the sections below.
•Tier C users have 100 suspension points •When a user hits 0 suspension points or less they will receive an automatic true forum ban and will not be released. •A user can only lose suspension points when they violate the rules, listed in the sections below.
Section A: Notes
Avoiding suspensions will be rewarded: •The user can view your suspension points and current tier on their accounts settings page. •Only an admin can view and edit a users suspension points or tier. •Going 30 without receiving a suspension will lower ones suspension point tier. •Tier A users who go 30 days without receiving a suspension will have their points reset to 300.
A user can be removed from the game or the forums by an administrator, even when the user has points left on their account. This will be reserved for only the most extreme of cases. A few examples of these cases: •Multi-Accounts •Continually making multi-accounts to get around suspensions •Cursing out administrators and/or support •Sending Pornography or offensive material via private messages or to support •Hacking(ed) Accounts(s) •Performing or attempting to perform any of the following: Hacking, password-guessing, password stealing, scamming, or any way of attempting to take control of or compromise another user's account. •Threatening anyone with personal information •Attempting to sell an account(s) •Pushing other users into violating the forum rules •If it is determined that a user is using the rules for their own personal gain, we will move straight to a ban.
If a user receives an extension to their current suspension, they will continue to lose suspension points. A suspended user still has something to lose. •Example: A user gets a 3 day suspension (-50 points) for violating a rule. While under this suspension they break two more rules and receive two 2 day extensions (-25 points each). 50+25*2 = 100 suspension points lost.
Previously Banned Users:
The new rules and suspension point system will give all non-banned users a fresh start but this will not be a retroactive change for already perma-banned users. The users who have been removed from the game or forums have had plenty of chances and would have been banned many times over with this new system.
