Ok, here we go.

- Conspiracy Theory #1: People who spend a lot of money get special treatment on the forums.

False. The moderators do not even have access to see how much anyone has spent, therefore they would have no information to base that off on in the first place. I really don't care how much you've spent on the site; if you're an asshole, you're gonna run into the banhammer at some point.

- Conspiracy Theory #2: GLB sanctioned and ran a special forum for "high roller" members where they got inside info.

False, with a grain of truth. An ex-employee took it upon himself to create a forum for those he deemed big spenders, where he gathered suggestions and chatted a bit with them. This forum was actually not even known to me or the other admins until somebody brought it to our attention. At that point, we actually shut the forum down, because we have never wanted to promote that attitude.

- Conspiracy Theory #3: Some GLB admins have or have had non-admin multi accounts to play the game.

True. We encourage our admins to play the game so they can better understand it, and also to have some fun! We found early on that playing as an admin account is next to impossible because you're constantly bombarded by questions or harassed, etc. A regular user account allows us to play the game like a normal user, and experience the same experience as all of you. Their accounts are unknown to moderation staff, and receive no favoritism. None of the admins ever really have time to do much outside of play some casual, though. None of them have ever even played world league outside of one former employee, as far as I know.

- Conspiracy Theory #4: All testers for GLB2 were hand picked from people who spent a lot of money.

False. We did hand pick some users who have shown a lot of interest in testing and have a history of being helpful and constructive, and some who entered some great qualifications into the signup forum. The amount of money they spend had nothing to with it, but their ability to help us test effectively did. We also picked twice as many random users from the signup process so that we could get some input from a wide range of people, which has been helpful. We felt a 100% random selection would have left us missing out one some valuable feedback from people we knew would provide it.

- Conspiracy Theory #5: DD is a big jerk who hates everyone.

False. I've known the guy for a long time and he's a really laid back, fun loving guy, with really no malice towards anyone. DD enjoys humor and is trying to bring some levity to the situation. This is, after all, a game, and should be played for fun. Never lose sight of that concept, and you'll find you have a lot less stress from whatever games you play! I know I do. However, I am sorry if you found his attempts at humor to be upsetting or frustrating. I am sure that was not his intention.

In conclusion, we value all our members and their input, regardless if you spend $1000 or $0. This game would not be here without you, so thank you for playing.

I am going to lock this for a bit now, so you all can read and digest this. I'll unlock it in a bit so you can continue discussion if you like.

apparently some are missing this post along with the short q & a that happened afterwards. If you have further questions please contact support. Also, please do not remake a locked or moved thread.
