Last week I posted a thread in GLB Main asking users to submit their questions about Goal Line Blitz 2.

Below you will find the top questions answered by Bort. (He edited each post to supply his answer)

Thanks to all who participated!

Fully boosted players will have 9 seasons worth of games before they become a Legend and can no longer play in normal leagues.

5 seasons are growth seasons, where you earn skill points every game, and 4 seasons in plateau.

An unboosted player lasts 6 seasons (5 growth, 1 plateau). Free players work the same as GLB though, in that they get full boosts for free.

A season consists of 22 games and lasts 39 days, so a player gets 198 total games in his career (plus any playoff games, scrimmages, tourneys, etc he may play).

We will be tracking this data in GLB2, though the code to do so it not totally complete yet. It could probably be fairly easily backported to GLB, because the stats data structures are pretty much exactly the same, but I do need to finish it over there first.

Also of related note on GLB2 is that teams will not be recycled after being sold, so those records will always be for the team as it was owned by the original owner, instead of multiple iterations of the same team id.

Perhaps; If so, it is not a high priority item on the current roadmap.

No, all sites will share the exact same database server we have now. There will be new forums added specifically for each game, but all other general forums will be shared.

I'm sure we will have a "look at my player's cool replay" forum just as we have on GLB Classic.

No, but GLB2 will no longer provide a refund incentive to do so.

GLB1 will be rebranded as Goal Line Blitz Classic.

I do not have an exact time frame for game #3 as of yet, since we are devoting all of our efforts to getting GLB2 launched right now, and will move on to the next after that's running. Also, we have more than one additional project in the pipeline, and I am not sure which one will be completed first, so I can't say what it will be exactly, but I can say that we do have more sports related stuff coming up in the future.

Is the plan to leave the stats higher in glb2 or will they be dumbed down to try mirroring nfl stats like they did with glb1.

The stats levels are kinda similar to current GLB, maybe a bit higher. We're still working on balancing a bit, and I'm sure will continue to do so even after launch, but I do feel it's more fun to have more players "doing stuff" more often, so I'm not worrying too much about balancing exactly to real life standards. It's more about finding a balance that's fun.

Are you planning on any type of sale or special for retired players to entice players to move over to GLB2?

How long do you think you'll keep GLB1 alive?

If they can be backported easily enough, I could see popular GLB2 updates making their way over to GLB Classic. Stuff that shares the same data structure makes the most sense, such as stats.

We will be doing a promotion to coincide with launch, yes. More to come when we get close to it.

GLB Classic will continue to run as long as there are enough players where it makes sense to keep it running.
